Improper Foot Ratings

That was DDR UNIVERSE that rated it a 6. I agree, it's absolutely a 7, but UNIVERSE had some rating issues (Festival INFINITE PRAYER was re-rated a 7? Festival SOMETHING WONDERFUL also a 7? No way.).

That's because Konami Hawaii, while using the FESTIVAL charts for those two (and IIRC, NEMESIS in UNIVERSE 2), gave them the ULTRAMIX foot ratings.

I don't think more deep (ver 2.1) is a 6. I think it's a 7 at least.
I feel... should be an 8. I really don't think it's a 9.

I definitely agree about more deep. I remember having trouble with that song back when I was just starting to pass 6 and 7 footers (back in the day... haha).

I still think I Feel should be a 9 though. It took me a while to get the hang of it. =\

And Lovin You (DDRMAX version)? Should be a 9 IMO.

I think that the only things that make I Feel difficult are the awkward rhythm and the poor syncing. I think it is still a 9, but it's at the very bottom end.

And yeah, Lovin' You should definitely be a 9. It's one of the only 8's I find draining.

How about Long Train Runnin' (DDRMAX2)? Way too hard for a 7, too many sixteenth notes and trills. <_<

Yes, I think Long Train Runnin' from DDR MAX2 was too hard for a 7. Those sixteenths are tricky, especially since they frequently crossover and end in freeze arrows. Didn't stop me from learning it while I was still in 7 land, though!

Horatio's US (CS I assume) is the worst chart I've seen with shock arrows. Even Pluto the First is better.

e-motion Should be a 5, not a 6. (Supernova2 US CS) I don't think those jumps are enough to call this a 6.

EDIT: Fascination ~eternal love mix~ is DEFINITELY not a 9... what was Konami thinking? At least a 5 or 6..

Yeah, about e-motion, a lot of the Club Mix songs were rated awkwardly. They're great songs though. I have to agree on that comment about it being a 5, though.

And Cachaca is too hard for a 7. I was getting A's on 9-footers before I could ace that song. King of awkward rhythms, I tell you.

I think they did that for shock value.

FELM light is a 7, but 400 BPM is really hard for a light player to read. That and the speed changes are strange.

Are songs rated by how they hard they are on that particular difficulty? Or are they rated by how hard they are overall?

I'm guessing toxxicice's basing it off of the old scale, which I somewhat disagree with. It's not a 9, but more like a mid-range 7. The only thing that would throw someone off (besides the speed) is the last few measures.

9 > 5. So 9 is at least 5.

Does anyone else think Fantasy (Lockout) was a little too hard for a 6? And what of Somewhere Over The Rainbow ? On top of the difficulty of keeping time during the 35bpm section, there's the sixteenth run at the beginning and the awkward jump-step shuffle in the latter parts.

I don't really think Fantasy (Lockout) is really worthy of being upgraded to a 7, but I definitely agree about Somewhere Over The Rainbow. I still have trouble effectively PA'ing that song; as far as I know it's the only 7 I have yet to SDG.
