There's Ghost Stories/School Ghost Stories(Gakkō no Kaidan)/Ghosts at School, Hell Teacher Nube, Jigoku Shoujo and possibly more titles I've watched at one point but have forgotten.
The first one is rather lighthearted with some comedy if you, for some unfathomable reason, hate that.

It's actually a good (yet different) take on the original. Be warned, there ARE differences between the original and this one. For one, Little Arturo (of the Gangreen Gang)...is a girl, despite the name.

Recently downloaded it. Haven't started on it yet, though.
Also, I recently watched several ecchi series. Mahoromatic and Koihime Musou are pretty awesome. Golden Boy, Variable Geo, and Agent Aika are not.

It's "ok"... It's really long, and doesn't have any sort of storyline, just a lot of independant 15-minute episodes. As far as Magical Girl shows go, it's sort of average. Way better than most of the trash, but completely pointless, when you compare it to Utena or Princess Tutu.
It's basicaly just an average Magical Girl show, without any plot, but with swearing. If that sounds fun, just wait for Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt to start on Friday, which is pretty much the same thing, but turned upto 11.

have you tried to watch Jigoku Shoujo / Red Garden? They have both horror genres for an anime but has good quality of drawings and not so crappy storylines
