In other words, DDR A3 for blue cabs is coming next week.

And basing off what happened in A20's release, I wonder if and what Western licenses will be added at the same time.

LETS GO BLUE CAB A3
I have been waiting to try all of the new DDR A3 content and now we can have it without finding the rare gold cab
Also i think that there would be some licensed western songs , but it will probably be some of the more recent songs

It seems silly to me separating the game by version, it should be a unique version for all cabins.

I really hope my nearest Dave and Busters will get a DDR cab so I can play this.

Any predictions / hopes for new licenses? I don't really follow pop music much anymore because I think recently it's been straight up awful, but I could see any of the songs from Dua Lipa's Future Nostalgia showing up and maybe something from The Weeknd.

Why exactly are people saying "blue cabinet" when it's clearly white?

They used to separate versions by cabs in the US before DDR A came out. It was completely awful. When Supernova released, they didn’t give out upgrade kits for Extreme cabs. The arcade either had to stick with their Extreme cab or throw it out and cough up 20k to get Supernova (it was the same deal when DDR X released). So many players were stuck with outdated versions of DDR until DDR A was released where they finally allowed for upgrade kits.

TL,DR; it was too expensive and many players could only access old versions.

From the last 2 license updates, Konami tends to pick songs that were high up on the international song charts in Japan. That means we're really likely to get Olivia Rodrigo and The Weeknd. Theoretically we could get BTS's Dynamite if they treat it like a western license.

Is the 22nd the release date for Japan or will the US get it too?

SuperNOVA had upgrade kits. The arcade I played at back then kept their Extreme and changed their DDR USA they upgraded to ITG that was upgraded to ITG2 to SuperNOVA.

Also, probably being pedantic, but there is no such thing as a US Extreme cab so it would make sense that Konami didn't sell US Extreme upgrades to SN, but they absolutely had kits to upgrade cabs to SN.

I mean, if it's all done by E Amusement, the US should get it too. Isn't that what happened with the Gold Cabinets? That's how I played A3 at my local Round1 when it first came out.

So the gold cabinets got the upgrade because they're on the Japanese network and Japanese builds, but I know the U.S. region machines needed a USB software upgrade to go from A to A20.

The US Gets it! Wonder if FUNLAND in Brunswick will get it?

Expect a USB upgrade kit. I highly doubt that it will be out on all U region white cabs on launch day.
