Simfile chart copying: Is it possible?

I have the song GIVE IT UP (Radio Mix) on Stepmania, and I want to copy the Expert chart of DAM DARIRAM to that song. If it is possible, where can I find instructions to do it? Thanks! Big Grin

The easiest way to do that is to copy the following lines to the .sm file you have:

(taken directly from DAM DARIRAM.sm)

If you're not comfortable with the copying this data to .sm files, you can add in the steps manually by either 1) watching a video and pausing to copy the steps, or 2) screenshot different parts of the chart and copy the steps.

It shows the edit data, but there are no notes when I try to play the song. Anyway to fix this ? Question Mark

Is there an .ssc file in the folder to the song? If so, try deleting that and reloading StepMania.

Then just try reloading your StepMania using the "Reload Songs" option under Options. I tried and it worked for me.

I've tried reloading many times, but the chart won't appear, not even when I try to edit it. I don't know what to do here. Sad

How many charts are in the .sm? If there are multiple "Hard" charts, then that could be the issue. You'll have to rename one of the charts to "Challenge" or "Edit".

If that's not a problem, go to the StepMania editor. When you're in the editor, you can go into the Esc menu and click on "Revert from Disk" and it should revert to the file you have in your StepMania folder (instead of using the saved cache).

If that doesn't work, you might have to delete the cache file (and Reload Songs/Courses after that). If you have a Windows computer, I might be able to help you navigate to where those files are kept.
