his last action was over a year ago, but he has a website in his profile that looks like it's catered to the people that play ddr in your area so you should check that out to get in touch with him.

Wow, the Ireland thread is really active..lol *sarcasm*
Anyone at all still on these forums who lives/plays in Ireland? I frequent at Dr. Quirkey's and the Leisureplex in Blanchardstown, it'd be great if I had someone to play with, most of my friends lost interest after a few weeks xD

Sup guys. Pump or EZ2 cabs in Ireland, or any of the non-Euromix, mixes?

Pretty much anywhere on the arcade list that's been updated in the last year should be accurate enough. If you're around Dublin any time, I'd recommend playing at Century City on Parnell Street in the city. Japanese SuperNOVA 2, MAX unlock.

No PIU that I know of, and there should be ez2dancer cabs somewhere in Donegal and Wicklow. You'll find EuroMIX and EuroMIX2 cabs in the respective locations too, but you're not looking for those

Hello! I'm still about all these years later. Not sure how many others, though.
Ireland isn't in the best spot at the minute for arcade rhythm games -- there are very few places in Dublin and we just lost Token. On the other hand, more StepManiaX machines have been popping up here and there.
There are some more modern DDR games in other counties from what I can see on the arcade tracker, like around Limerick and Kilkenny. Haven't been out that way myself. I mainly just play whatever I can at home at this point.

Oh hi! Good to see that I'm probably not the only Irish person on these forums...
Yeah Ireland's been pretty rough for rhythm game cabinets and really just arcades in general. It's good to see that we are getting more StepManiaX cabs though, question is when is there one coming down to Cork... (though we have around 4 arcades with people saying that the Leisureplex in Cork is closing soon...)
Should probably head down to Limerick myself sometime soon, I really want to try the other rhythm games like Maimai and Groove Coaster, wish we had more of those cabinets in Ireland, they're massive around the US and some parts in the EU like Germany.
(oops forgot to quote sorry lol)

We've basically only got Leisureplexes left here in Dublin now. Gotta say I miss having a decent DDR cab to play on without having to travel for it!
If you like the games enough to travel abroad for them though, London has a lot of great stuff. Funland in particular has a load of Bemani stuff with e-amuse, and there are quarterly meetups with overnights etc. organised on the UK Rhythm Games Discord. I think the next one is in September, I'm considering heading over myself for it.
Other than that though, yeah Limerick seems like the place to go. I should really make the trip at some point.

Honestly seems like a good idea, I'd love to go visit both Limerick and London, the more the merrier!
Yeah it's the same, pretty much a hassle for me to play an actual DDR cab especially travelling into the city and even then, the conditions of the cab are fairly inconsistent... But hey, with all these StepManiaX cabinets popping up all around the country maybe I could be lucky enough to have one fairly local to me! I think one has been recently added in Louth.
I'll also give a look at the UK discord too, might not be a bad shout.

For sure! I've got one or two friends that like DDR too but don't do the online rhythm game forum or Discord thing. I should try drag them along on a trip to Limerick or something too.
I've got my Discord on my profile here, feel free to friend/DM me if you like.
Definitely check out that Discord server though. The details for the quarterly Funland VEGA meetups are posted there and there are channels for each of the major arcades in/around London.

I'll look more into the server definately, they seem very welcoming by the looks of it! I'll try and add you sometime soon too! It's getting me more eager to head to Limerick. I've always wanted to try their maimai cab too I've heard from others it's really fun, all they need is a StepManiaX cab and they're golden.
Shame we don't have much of a rhythm game scene in Ireland though, the closest we really have are PC based rhythm games like osu! which does have a fairly nice community, but it would be nice to see more arcade rhythm game action here!

fr! Well honestly I don’t really see much people in Ireland that are into arcade rhythm games or just rhythm games in general… Maybe we can find some more people who would be interested in that kind of thing! (i’m just waiting for the day that somewhere down the south where I live gets a stepmaniax cab ) But really cool to see more people in this thread!

yeah Ireland lowkey dry on rhythm games outside of the eastern sea side, but there is a rise in stepmaniax cabs around ireland so hopefully they become more popular and with that the ireland board :p

fr, would love one down in the south, also would wish for other rhythm game cabs too there's only pad stuff here and only one other arcade with other stuff (it's a bar though so younger people might have a harder time)

honestly setting up a arcade with games people want would be a good buisness idea, having the newest cabs connected to their own services (if possible) would be great

yeah, honestly would be sorta hard to make something like that as machines are usually expensive and if people want stuff like maimai, chunithm etc. it probably goes above 10k because japanese import, but maybe one day we’ll get more stuff like that. if the uk gets stuff like that then surely ireland can too (or maybe there’s just arcades that we’ve never heard of yet that has stuff like that? idk)
