This is looking awesome so far, keep it up!
If you're looking for how to get started with uploading your theme to GitHub, I'd highly recommend Code School's Try Git tutorial. It's what I used to get started and gives you a good basic working knowledge of git.

Looks good, Inori, can you join me to the repository? I could share my widescreen edits that have been made to the patrick theme
this could be a fallback theme for all the themes based on 4th mix interface. My 4th mix repo is here. https://github.com/MadkaT182/DDR4th

Working on getting the difficulty select screen working
I tried doing that but failed. I think I got really confused so I thought I could leave it to default with the Konamix Border Screen.
Hope you get it

-- I also tried to make the BG songs widescreen but couldnt... So I left it as jacket wheel.

Github link!

Here's the url, I'll transfer the repo to you once you're ready.
Quick note, to change difficulty, use the left and right arrows. Up and Down currently close difficulty select

Looks promising. I hope you can manage to get the 7-songs-per-page interface. Also, I noticed that some fonts look very blurry. You should ask what font is it in the Font thread so you can make them look better.

Really nice progress so far. It's kinda trippy to see newer era songs in the classic theme.

gotten the banners to their correct sizes, and they now show cropped backgrounds like in the original. I'll probably need outside help to get the page system working.
My eyes are burning from staring at my screen for 4 hours straight.
Other stuff has been fixed, new song indicator is in the correct spot and the song title now changes between blue and green depending on if the song is new or not.

As someone who played this game many times at my middle school, I remember a few things:
1. There are only 3 zoomed in backgrounds, with 2 being halfway off the screen
2. The banner themselves don't move until you tap the selector left or right AND it causes the game to load new banners.
If I find anything else I'll make an edit to this post.
Good Luck!

Yes I've noticed that. I literally have my laptop sitting next a tv with a PS1 on my coffee table.
Due to the nature of SM's music wheel, I'll have to create a completely custom music wheel.
And sadly, I don't have the knowledge/skill to be able to do that.
As dbk said to me over IRC
"The people who are interested are unable to do it.
and the people who can do it aren't interested."
This'll def be extremely hard to replicate completely. In the meantime, I'll be working on other parts of the theme that need work

There's the reason I wouldn't be making such a hard thing or replicating the whole theme exactly.

Unfortunately I fit in to the first category.

You could increase the space between the BG items, and fit or crop them with a mask layer. It needs to be checked in detail to replicate the original behavior. But in general aspect is looking good. I'll try to check it in the weekend to see if I can help. I'm busy working

Awesome, I'll need as much help as I can get x.x

I know that this might be a long shot, but is it possible to add "chase lights" (dunno what they are officially called, but I call them chase lights) to the banners when they are new?

Yes, I just don't feel like trying to animate them right now.

The theme looks really cool! The only problem is that I'm only seeing it render text (and the banners on the song select screen), like this screenshot I took of the main menu:

Is it because I'm using the wrong renderer(s)? I mean, if you go to C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\StepMania 5\Save and look at the Preferences.ini file there, there's a setting near the end of the list marked [Options] named VideoRenderers. Its default settings are OpenGL and D3D. What do I have to change them to in order for this theme to work properly?'
EDIT: I'm also using StepMania version 5.0.10, but this post serves no importance any longer. Why? I had the theme's folder nested inside another one. *facepalm*
