We all know that the chances of having a CS version of Sound Voltex is pretty much slim to nil, but I've been thinking about what it would be like if we lived in an alternate universe where Konami thought that making a version of the game for the PS3/4 as a budget retail game, or even a digital-only PSN title.
I've mainly thought about what the controls would be on the DualShock 4, and I would imagine it as being a more complex version of Amplitude's controls.
Specifically, I have it as such:
Button 1 - L1
Button 2 - L2
Button 3 - R1
Button 4 - R2
FX-L - D-Pad up, D-Pad left, or D-Pad down
FX-R - Triangle, Circle, or X
Left Knob - rotating the left stick clockwise/counterclockwise to turn, and flicking to the left/right for "chain slams"
Right Knob - Same exact thing for the left stick, but for the right stick, obviously.
As for unlocking songs, Street Fighter V's method for unlocking characters/DLC would be perfect for this game; in other words, you can either use real money to unlock the songs immediately, or build up Blocks to unlock them for free.
I'll go even further and say that if for some reason Konami was even crazier and made a Wii U version of the game, you could actually use amiibo to unlock cards from the card generator, or use up Packet points; the former can only be done on one per amiibo per day, so if you had, say, 5 different amiibo figures, you could use the card generator 5 times a day.
Sadly, the chances of this ever happening are the same chances of a western Infinitas release, but we can all dream, can we?

"Mostly just lurking." |
What if it were an iPad app and there was a special controller you could buy for your iPad that essentially turns its setup into like the arcade game?

Button schemes are supposed to be a la DDR style tbh
Like this:
Button 1 is Left/Square
Button 2 is Down/X
Button 3 is Up/Triangle
Button 4 is Right/O
While FX-1 is L1/L2
FX-2 is R1/R2
well knobs are analog sticks
Songlists consist of the bests of FLOOR contests, KAC song contests, few vocaloid and touhou.
I'd like to see Monstercat songs as well lol.

I've thought about that too, but I think most people would not invest the extra money to buy a special controller for a mobile app (except Pokemon Go, but that's mainly due to the fact it's small; SDVX's controller is pretty big.); if you were to just use the screen, I'm sure there would be so much clutter you wouldn't be able to see a good part of what notes you're supposed to be hitting. I would say a PC version is more likely, but we have Kshoot on there, so the chances of having an official SDVX game on there would be the same chance as a new official DDR game because of Stepmania.

I've imagined that it would be a mix of originals from Booth-Gravity Wars, and maybe some touhou/vocaloid songs here and there, but in the happiest coincidence that this CS game would have an international release, I would imagine they would have licensed songs from North American/European artists (for example, Tricky Disco 2k10 would sound amazing with the knobs and long FX notes).

If it would be internationally released, they could replace the lame vocaloid and touhou with the licensed songs from American & European artists.
