Considering how terrible it's been for them and people adopting it for a variety of reasons, this doesn't really come as much of a shock to me but still...

They really need to go back to basics and make a OS that's made for computers and not tablets for Windows 9. My computer is starting to show it's age and I really don't want to get a new one with Windows 8 on it. If I had to I'll likely install Windows 7 first thing. Forcing the touch interface on desktop users was a bad idea from he start. Everyone is so use to the way Window's XP/7 runs that you can't really drastically change from that. Just make an updated version of Windows 7 and I'll bite.

Better, if you're getting a system, make sure it has Windows 7 pre-loaded (like my sales department DOES this for a living and they get orders direct from HP or Lenovo) or better just build your system from scratch and nab a System Builder copy of 7. There are some 8.x systems that are nearly impossible to get all the drivers for. I had to use Korean Beta hacked video drivers here the other day on a Toshiba laptop that had an HD 8210 that had no official support for drivers from either AMD or Toshiba themselves because it was an APU cheap-o machine that was just built to work and nothing else. I was VERY lucky to come across the drivers from my small list of resources I have available to me.
And yea, they need to have a STELLAR system for Windows 9 or they may as well just let OSes like Linux Mint start taking charge that are doing it right for 0 dollars anyways. If not that, a lot more people have been going over to Mac OS as of late.
