More details...? Is it like, a build of Stepmania or something? Or a full-fledged PS2 game?
This seems pretty interesting, I'll keep watching this thread as you develop it.

If you're talking just a song list, I'd suggest looking at the DDR4Ever mixes for some ideas. Reckon there is about 800 songs in that library from "top 40" to dance to trance to "Asian pop". Very little DDR stuff in said mix though. The series stopped around 2005 so that would be perfect for what you're trying to do.
I have about 130 songs that I liked from said mixes alone.

"Let's Do the Rain Dance" |
OK, here's my take on what Party Collection would look like in the states:
-First off, my predictions for what would be retained in terms of licenses from the Japanese version:
BUTTERFLY / smile.dk
Moonlight Shadow (New Vocal Version) / MISSING HEART
SKY HIGH / DJ MIKO
Wannabe / Spice Girls
WE WILL ROCK YOU / Houseboyz
WITCH DOCTOR (GIANTS TOONS VERSION) / Cartoons
A lot of these made/would make an appearance in the Xbox versions. Wannabe also would be our way to sample the European releases, like what happened in SuperNOVA and SuperNOVA2. WITCH DOCTOR is another one of those kid-friendly popular songs, like KICK THE CAN that made it to EXTREME. WE WILL ROCK YOU would just be too popular to miss just like LONG TRAIN RUNNIN' in MAX2, and easy to (hypothetically) license due to its cover status. LET'S GET DOWN is like WONDERLAND from EXTREME in that it samples/riffs a very popular song, good for something like the (hypothetical) trailers.
-Then of course, some tracks from the alumni of the previous American games:
GET READY FOR THIS / 2 Unlimited
Kung Fu Fighting / BUS STOP feat. Carl Douglas (+music video)
Name of the Game / The Crystal Method
Tribal Dance (Almighty Mix) / 2 Unlimited (+original, sped up music video)
You Keep Me Hangin' On / Kim Wilde
With MAX2 and EXTREME, several classic songs would be revived and given their official music videos. I also think the trend of using an original version music video for the remix would start somewhere around this time period.
-As for new licenses, checking the dance charts of the time (Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play, 1999-2004), this is what I think KONAMI would go for:
Addicted to Bass / Puretone
Bailamos / Enrique Iglesias
Get This Party Started / P!NK
One More Time / Daft Punk
Sing it Back / Moloko
All other artists except for Puretone have been in other BEMANI titles, and Addicted to Bass has been in a couple of dance games.
I personally think this a good batch to work with, and I could help step some songs/provide cuts if you'd like.

Sorry i know i haven't post anything in a while but, what would the returning licensed song list be on this game, or what would ddr put has there returning songlist same with the new konami orginals?
Hey guys, i was wondering if anybody could code the song wheel, just like the one in the console versions( DDRMAX, DDRMAX2, DDREXTREME, and DDR PARTY COLLECTION) when you select a song really fast? I will credit you!
