Hey all..
Recently got my DDR machine set up. Have not had ANY issues what so ever with it, apart from what happened today.
The monitor usually boots straight away. It has that snow effect which then goes straight to the testing, and booting of the CD in the 573.
Today however, it didn't fire up until MAX 2 started the loading of the songs, which is weird. It caught the entire loading sequence but failed to fire up at the main booting sequence.
After the session, we switched off and booted back up again, and it started up as normal.
Something to look out for in the future.
It's been suggested it could be the heater filament? If so, are these easy to replace?
The screen has been perfect up to now.
No burn in at all on it either, so I don't want to lose it!
Thanks for any suggestions
EDIT:
It has been fine since, but this happened again today. It hadn't been used for 3 days.
The machine is in a shed, but it is an insulated shed, so shouldn't get all that cold.
That said, it took a while to warm up, and the game actually loaded before the screen had time to settle in, and brighten. The display was lagging, i.e ghosting (for example when displaying the Max 2 logo, after it vanished; it stayed for around 3 seconds on the screen)
Is this something that could be considered normal, or is it on its way out? Or a part on its way out?
