[Noteskins/SM5] Ported DDR Noteskins

First off, I apologize for not updating the links from my previous thread earlier. I decided to make it up by releasing more of my ported DDR noteskins here since I have noticed there has been high demand for DDR noteskins for SM5 here in zenius-I-vanisher.

that moment this pops up in the irc and people laugh at it, so ya here I am on ziv again, anyways I dont get jelly of people that make noteskins lol, I get mostly mad because of bad ports, that said, I checked these and there is nothing to be mad about, which makes me happy instead.

there is some things which could be done easier tough like there could be less files by adding some lines in the noteskin.lua for redirections instead, but other than that, nice ports

@Jousway: Jason Felds wanted me to go to you to help port noteskins or something earlier considering the fact that I can't code noteskins for crap (but I guess I could learn though). I just basically replaced the graphics with waiei's ya_solo skin, and I really don't want that since 16x16 apparently makes the noteskin drop its quality even more (did I mention I can be a huge quality freak at times?).

Though I do appreciate the compliment though, thank you.

BTW, didn't you port some DDR noteskins, or did you mainly port 3D/ITG/etc. skins?

And at the risk of sounding dumb, what is the difference between 3rdMIX and 5thMIX exactly?

...Tested and working on StepMania 5 beta 2, though there is an odd graphical glitch. Dunno if it's because of the version of the program but the white glow animation within the arrows seems to be twice as fast as it's suppose to be. The result is very spastic-looking arrows, lol.

Happens to me too. The problem I think is that if you look at the image file for the note, it has like 4 times as many arrows as a normal noteskin. I wish I knew how to slow the animation down.

It happened with the vivid and solo noteskins.

Opened metrics.ini in each offending noteskin's folder.

Changing

TapNoteAnimationLength=2
TapFakeAnimationLength=2

to

TapNoteAnimationLength=4
TapFakeAnimationLength=4

seemed to fix it up.

late reply because I keep forgetting about this forum, anyways the only noteskin I did port that was "ddr" and with "ddr" its really loosely related to "ddr" because its the 3.9 noteskin which was ddr based, which I got hosted here

you might want to check my noteskin.lua because it does explain some stuff, same with the metrics.ini because I do comment stuff to educate new people trying out noteskins

also I got my zpawn git which has some test/silly noteskins you might be interested in checking out for educational purpose

I can make a noteskin in which I mean just 1 actual noteskin, not diffrent noteskins per version, but 1 actual noteskin that you can place in bot sm5 and 3.9 and work on both that works for every game type and every version of sm if I wanted too

I'm on the lookout for the noteskins used in DDR 2014, and so far this is as close as I've gotten. Great noteskins, but is there a chance that we could see the noteskins from DDR 2014 (or whatever game the noteskins used in that game debuted)for SM5? I would LOVE to have these, at least just the vivid, rainbow, note and flat noteskins.

Having an issue with the SuperNOVA noteskins I downloaded here. All of the arrows are showing only in one color, nor are they animating. Is anyone else having this issue, or is it something I've done wrong with just extracting them to the folder?

It is a problem with the current version of SM5, I'm having the same issue.

Should be fixed for 5.0.9, I submitted that problem because I was having troubles too.
