Sorry to make a whole new thread about this, I tried getting answers on my own but just couldn't be conclusive.
I have a few questions.
Firstly, is it even possible to unlock anymore?
I assume you can no longer play it after X1.
Assuming you ARE playing on DDR X1, can it still be unlocked?
I remember when I played it back in the day it was during a special time where the X-specials weren't unlocked yet. To access them you need to meet requirements on your normal stages to be able to play on extra. For the case of this song, I remember after the requirement to get dirty mix you had to select random on extra and sometimes it would appear.
If you haven't guess it my memory is a little forgetful. It's been a while and I can't even remember the unlock conditions for the x-specials.
I will have the chance to play an X1 again and I believe it sits fully unlocked offline. Like I said, I am not sure if it is even possible anymore since when I played it, it was during a special time.
I hope I am wrong and someone can shed some light on my questions. Thank you.
(PS, if you can give more details about PMDMIR I'd love to know it since I've always been curious about it and one day wanna PFC it)

Well if it helps im 99% sure the "From roulette" variant of paranoia max was always a copy paste of the original paranoia's chart, so in this case paranoia max from roulette x special would have the x special chart from the original paranoia, just 10 bpm faster.
IIRC the unlock criteria were to just play your extra stage on roulette/random on DDRX with the 2nd mix folder open and you'd PROBABLY get it. Either that or to do it on your last stage, then play random again on your extra stage. One or the other at a guess.

If I remember right, the requirements for Paranoia Max (X-Special) as extra stage were as follows:
1. AA any 2nd mix song. If you AAed another 2nd mix song during your credit your chances of step 2 working were much better.
2. Pick random, hope for Paranoia Max (again, much more likely with 2 2nd mix songs under your belt)
3. AA Paranoia Max. X Special should be in the 2nd mix folder in red.
4. Picking random again on extra stage should net you the roulette steps.
There's an offline DDR X asian edition to the east of melbourne, if I swing by there sometime (and the pads are alright enough for me to get extra stage) I'll let you know if this still works out.
