I step... For You? o.o

Yeah. I kinda want to increase my repertoire of charts I've done. So I want you... to request songs for me to step!

Rules:

1) They must be songs that have been in a DDR/Dancing Stage game in the past. If it's in the "official simfiles" section, it's fair game.
2) I'm not your slave. Don't treat me like one.
3) This should go without saying, but I can't please everyone, every time. I'll try my best, but I'm sorry if I don't satisfy you.
4) When submitting a song, state the song name and the version of DDR/Dancing Stage it's from, along with any other requests involving the song. These requests can range from what foot-rating you want it to be (old/new scale) or what you want included, e.g. a large amount of crossovers or many jumps/freezes, etc.
5) Given situations when a user does not request something to be removed/used/not used, everything can be used (e.g. mines, holds, etc) EXCEPT FOR ROLLS OR MINES/SHOCKS. If one of these (or more) is not desired, please do say so and it will not be used. If a user wants mines, they must request them, or no mines will be used.
6) Differentiate between mines and shock arrows. Shock arrows are when the entire row of arrows is mined, and mines are entirely singular.
7) If nothing specific is requested aside from the song, I'll do whatever the hell I want.

I'll try my best to upload the individual simfiles that I make into a youtube video, and then I'll generate a pack so y'allz can download them at some point.

Hmm...how about a for 桜 (DDR EXTREME) that's harder than the original steps. Never was too crazy for the way Konami handled making the charts, im sure you can make a true boss out of this song.

There have already been a bunch of Eternus charts, with a bunch of different means of making them interesting - you could try to make one with a unique twist (though what that would be is up to you, if I knew I'd be making it lol).

(For reference, there's at least the DDR Supernova 2 CS one, the ITG Rebirth one, a Rerave chart (lol), and a bunch of other edits of it floating around.)

This pack structure is an interesting idea though. Can't wait to see how it pans out.

That Eternus one sounds particularly difficult, but I will definitely put a lot of thought into it.

EDIT #2: I have both Poseidon and Seasons done. They will be uploaded to Youtube promptly.

Here's an idea: A 15 or 16 (X scale) chart for Poseidon (Kors K Mix) from DDR X2. Probably give an ITG-esque feel to it, mainly with 16th notes that go to the different sounds in the song itself, probably have some crossovers, and holds when necessary. No jumps though. And, the chart should probably go at a constant 152 BPM, no slowdowns or stops.

When you say no jumps, do you mean none at all? And when you say holds when necessary, do you mean a very conservative use in general, or ONLY when ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY? Thanks for the request.

Here's a couple more ideas:

Lovin' You (Rob Searle Club Mix) from DDRMAX; probably a 14 (X scale) chart. This could have 16th syncopations & streams. Probably a few jumps where desired.

The Shining Polaris from DDRMAX 2; 13 or 14 (X scale) chart, consisting of 16th note patterns where necessary within the song; the official stepchart seems too understepped in my opinion.


I'd say very few jumps, and yes, "a very conservative use in general", as you say, for holds.

Here's one more idea:
Twilight Zone (RC Extended Club Mix) from DDRMAX 2; 14 (X scale) chart. No doublesteps at all; have it flow perfectly as an ITG chart would. Have the chart consist mainly of 16th note syncopations & triplets to go with the noises, sounds, and vocals. The chart from DDR MAX 2 didn't exactly seem as hard as it could've been.

When you say double steps, do you mean taps (as in the same arrow more than once in a row) or do you mean stepping with the same foot on two different arrows?

As for all of my ideas so far, no mines, and try to use some to a few holds, and use jumps sparingly (or try not to use jumps at all if possible). Crossovers would probably be best only for Lovin' You, and Twilight Zone.


As in no doublesteps, I mean none of those doublesteps you would find on a Paranoia series chart, or in most DDR charts in general.

No mines, rolls and shocks please.

Also if some of the songs already have charts, for example Nonstop C has and , leave those charts alone, unless you feel the exsiting charts can be improved upon then by all means change the chart.
