TRIP MACHINE PhoeniX sounds really, really familiar...

SP-TRIP MACHINE (JUNGLE PhoeMIX)

In all honesty, it's essentially a slight remix of SP-TRIP MACHINE (JUNGLE MIX). I mean, just listen! They sound so alike it's scary!

I listened to all the Trip Machines back to back once, and my first thoughts were 'hmm, Jungle Mix sounds like PhoeniX a lot'.

OMG I thought I was the only one that thought of that. TRIP MACHINE PhoeniX I think is the 2nd worst Trip machine. Next to Jungle mix.

And I thought the way they remixed SP-TRIP MACHINE for Beatmania was bad!

I listened to it last night in the HMM and it does sound a lot like SP-Trip Machine.

And speaking of SP-Trip Machine, what does the SP stand for? I never figured it out.

I always thought the SP made it look like Strip Machine. But I think it’s just part of the remix name, like PARANOiA MAX (Dirty Mix).

My guess was that it originally came from Beatmania and SP stood for Single Play.

I always figured it stood for "special".
Also it was my first Light 6 cleared. That, R3, and Max 300 Light helped me get onto Standard.

Oddly enough, I always considered Chaos to be the unofficial "sixth Trip Machine".

Hmm, I dunno... I actually kinda like SP-TRIP MACHINE for some odd reason. And you guys are right, PhoeniX sounds a lot like SP.

Are you people forgetting that PhoeniX is jun's rendition of this? Maybe that's why it sounds different.

Yes, the ending of TMP sounds nothing like the ending of choas it all. I mean both those endings feature triplet runs, totally different.

i keep hearing this paranoia hades and trip machine phoenix are jun's versions, i want proof of this. i dont have my game yet(it seems impossable to find the game without the bundle), does the information mode say this or something?

also, i really like the IIDX version of SP-trip machine

I don't think we'll have actual proof until we get a hold of the soundtracks. And believe me, I am going to get my hands on a copy as soon as an OST is announced.

But I'm almost positive that PH and TMP are jun's versions.

well, i remember a while back when we were waiting on beta news for SN2 someone posted something from a japanese site about jun working on a paranoia and a trip machine. i dont think it actually said what the names were, or what game they would be in though. honestly, i expected her to do vocal versions of them, but i suppose its not to inconcievable that these are hers. i guess we are waiting for the OST to come out.

For some reason I thought SP meant special. Also, in order of favorites, Original, Luv, SP, Survivor, Climax, Phoenix. I don't know what's so wrong with SP-Trip Machine, because it sounds different and not badly mixed to me.

But relevant to this subject, when I heard the intro to Phoenix I thought "Oh no, this sounds familiar. *sigh* Trip Machine is just gonna keep running this theme isn't it?". Yeah, Phoenix sounds a lot like SP, which is a shame.
