Hello everyone im trying to raise money to buy an a DDR machine for my arcade. The arcade that i'm buying for is China Town arcade in NYC. I don't have the money to to buy one and donate it myself some i'm trying to get a community effort. I would like to get everyone to try and donate a dollar and share it to other people. The machine in the picture will be upgraded form X2 to X3 the only problem is the cost and that the shipping costs a lot. People will argue that its too much but i want to at least try and get somewhere hopefully. Anywho Thanks for reading i hope you donate and share

I say, valiant effort, but $10k is probably not as much as you would think it would cost to get an upgraded kit imported from Japan to the US.
Or it might be that price, I honestly have no clue. I just hope the money that goes into this DOES go into getting an X3 cab/kit imported, you can never be too careful giving money to these sites/causes/stuff.

also, you may want to consider the condition of the machine if you are going for the X2/X3 cabinets because if you just get it at a low price, then tendency is that the machine may not be in good condition (in terms of functionality) . Also, I may have observe some arcades have the latest DDR machines however turn out to be in bad condition so how can you or the crew try to fix something like that?

The money will be sent to my pay pal but will only be used for the machine. And there will be plently of people who know there way around a DDR machine.

I'm sorry but I don't think will ever work. Not only that but I could find a Good working DDR machine for $1,000 and upgrade it to X3 with another few grand. You simply are asking for too much and I doubt that you will get enough donations to even reach $1,000 if you're lucky. Its not a very wide ranged want and is simply location driven which sort of hurts any donations you would receive.

Why not try for a DDRX2/ITG2 combo machine, kinda like what PPG has? Can't hurt to have the best of both worlds, right?

I believe you're asking the wrong community. This ain't exactly the type of place where you'll find people willing to shell money for something they wont ever use. I like your idea, and I think it's great what you're trying to accomplish, but I don't think you'll get too much from here.
It's got nothing to do with the personalities of everyone here, but I know that most of us won't chip in. If I can spare any money, i'll let you know.

If this was to raise money for a major arcade chain to get the machines, or for some Konami-funded project to get X3 funded enough so that it could be released internationally then we would have already chipped in $100 each, but this is only for ONE location where as this site is pretty global. Maybe members from the area might chip in, maybe not. But I kind of see that everyone will eventually be getting X3 in their area sometime within the next year or 2...or 3.
