There are people out there who have done some pretty significant things for DDR, whether it's something special they did for the community, did something extraordinary (i.e. collaboration, freestyling), created/did something awesome (i.e. animation, creative DDR ideas), or who are just so dang good at it.
Simply just post people (YouTube or not) who meet any of those things I mentioned that you believe should be recognized for what they did.
I do have one rule: NO ITG! I don't care if it's a DDR song on an ITG machine. That still doesn't count. If you have a problem with that, make an ITG Recognition thread.
For me, I believe that ledgam3r1279 (a member on this site for those who don't know) is an outstanding player and I honestly believe he should be more popular (even if he doesn't care). Here's one of his videos that really "wowed" me.

EDIT: I forgot one more.
Get this: this outstanding DDR player is only FOURTEEN YEARS OLD and she's PFCing crazy hard songs on AC's. She totally deserves to be well-known too. I get jealous every time I see her videos. Her name is Lizzy.

EDIT: One last thing, margomundo wrote this very well-thought-out poem last year about DDR II and I thought it was very enjoyable to listen to. This is the kind of stuff I mean when people do something creative.
Well I think you guys get the point now. So start bringing them out!

I hardly watch the people who are mad pro at the game, unless I'm trying to learn the pattern or something. There are so many people that are so far out of my skill zone that I can't fathom how hard some songs actually are. xD; So I'm looking up videos that have more fun.
I did like the dude who posted all the X dance routines.
And then did Butterfly on the machine.
Then there was some dude who did an awesome tribute dance to Love is the Power referencing the BG dances and stuff, but hmmm, can't imagine who that was.
EDIT: um, screw what I had here before, can't find who the other person is...

Yeah, I wonder who that can be....(lol).

Are we posting videos just to post videos or to feature their channel? There's like one video of a bear (Rilakkuma?) dancing on the machine, but I have no idea who that is, and it's more like a "cool video spamvertisement" than a "this person has cool DDR stuff" sort of thing, so I'll skip it for now...
but the bear plays as winged zero so it must be cool right

Featuring their channels. The whole purpose of this thread is to get other great DDR players noticed. And I don't mean post something like that. Just post other people who you think should deserve more popularity based on how well they play DDR.
Does that make sense?

But who is "great" at the game is subjective too. (Sometimes I like it when nobody knows I exist, too, but only because I like peace and quiet at times)
I'll find some links after work, but to list a few:
- Ryouta, though that is debatable since he is in the Guinness book for youngest AAA on an expert song (even though some others did that before him)
- An 11 year old PFCing songs on single and double expert on X2 (Not Lizzy, some Japanese kid)
- A whole bunch of J-Players like Nachipan whom has the World record on over 100 songs and nobody outside Japan knows anything about him :/
- Akudaikan, for being mid 40s and still able to PFC some of the easier Expert songs as well as MFC a few on Light.

Yes, I don't care how popular I am.
Thanks for the shoutout anyway, even though my skill level is nowhere near that of the top players yet.
Is this thread just about listing other DDR players now or players that have videos / a YouTube channel? Though I agree that defining who is "great" is totally subjective. I might as well define "great" DDR players as "people better than myself." lol

Hmmm...Okay guys. Let me redo the description. Now that you mention it, it is pretty subjective. I'll edit the thread in a minute.

Thanks for mentioning me!!! I have a few other DDR creative videos, but that one is one of the best.
And wow, I didn't know Lizzy was only 14. She's way way better than me. I still haven't gotten a quad and she's getting them left and right.

I know right? She's amazing! I can't imagine how she'll be like in the later years if she keeps this up. And it was no trouble either. That poem really was creative.
