[X360 PS3 PC] Borderlands 2

It comes out this Tuesday! Who's excited?

I haven't even beat the original!

Did anyone pre-order? Someone wanna play multilayer on the original or when this one comes out? What class are you going to play as?

Haven't preordered, but looking forward to this. Might go with Commando or Gunzerker, not totally sure.

Beat the first game on both 360 and PS3, getting all achievements in the main game in both versions.

Have the game preordered at GameStop, which means I'm getting both the Creature Slaughter Dome and access to the Premiere Club. Might play as the Gunzerker (or, as I like to call him, the dual-wielding midget) first...

Beat the first one and got to level 69

Getting those collectibles in Robot Revolution is tedious and annoying. Coupled with the fact that Moxxi's Underdome was incredibly long, I was able to only get 1575/1750. In the case of Moxxi's Underdome, it didn't help that I only knew one person who had it...

Robot Revolution - Don't know if they changed it, but there was actually a place you could stand in the final boss' area where the boss couldn't hit you and the kamikaze enemies couldn't reach you and just blew up, leaving their drops behind. Knock out the boss' turrets and set your character up in the right spot, and you could leave it overnight and have enough for all the collection achievements in one or two sittings.

Underdome - Before Microsoft pulled that bullshit "only Gamertags that bought downloads can use them" policy, I was able to start a new character and use that as the first player in a local co-op game. Then all the Underdome enemies would be Level 4 or 5 while I got to rampage around with my Level 50 killgod character. You could probably try the same general idea, only now you would have to find someone willing to just sit in a few "do-nothing" sessions as a low-level character while you rape everything with a Level 69 character or vice-versa.


As for BL2, thought about going to the midnight release, wanted to even more once I found out that some guy I know is unreasonably asshurt over the game's release, but then decided against it because I wouldn't have a decent chance to play it until tomorrow after work anyway, and that's assuming I manage to pull myself away from Tekken Tag 2 before getting the last few achievements.

Just started it.

And got to play all of about twenty minutes before everyone in the house decided to go to bed early. Fun.

Tried using that Gearbox SMG that you get for preordering the game. Is it possible to decrease how much you move the gun around while aiming? Even without firing, I can just sit there with the iron sights up and the gun points at everything except what I'm trying to shoot at.

I've noticed that some SMGs and machine pistols have ridiculous sway when aiming.

Well, that was easy...

Yeah, turns out that gun was just a piece of garbage. The preorder Gearbox guns from the first game were at least decent up to about Lv. 5 or 6, but the ones in BL2 are literally just to get you through the Knuckledragger fight with more than just a pistol. Oftentimes, the first ANYTHING I find from a dead bandit is better than the preorder guns.

Also, after beating the game and getting a little ways into Playthrough 2, I finally got my first non-quest orange weapon.

I got my first (and only, so far) non-quest orange weapon about halfway through my first playthrough. Most powerful rocket launcher I've ever used. Saved my ass on multiple occasions.

In other news...Terramorphous the Invincible...is not so invincible now.

If you're an Assassin who has invested in the Skill Tree with Death Mark and you have a Bee Shield and Scalable Conference Call, you'll pretty much have Terramorphous dead in no time

I knew about those, but I wanted to beat him legit, even if I wasn't level 50 (44 at the time). My Commando, my friend's 50 Commando and his friends, a 50 Siren and a 44 Assassin. Had an interesting plan, where one Commando (usually me, with a longbow turret) stayed above Terramorphous' pit, and tosses the turret as another went in. In the event at least two died and they can't get Second Winds, I jumped in with my hand cannon. Took us a little over an hour to beat, not counting miscues.

BTW, Gaige the Mechromancer is out

I'll probably download her, but I doubt I'll actually start playing seriously with her until I put a little more time into the other classes to get a feel for them. My current work schedule has only been giving me about two or three hours of game time a night.
