Worst stepcharts, in your opinion

Since there's a thread for underrated stepcharts, I thought I'd make one for bad stepcharts, like SHOOTING STAR on Maniac.

There are flow problems all over the place, but what's with the freeze pivot-turn footswitches after step 150 or so? Those take the cake




...I don't much like Pluto the First, either, but that is another story.

Same deal for the original Do It All Night Doubles steps.

As of late, PARANOiA Revolution S-. VD S- is atrocious as well. I don't care if they're trying to be the hardest song in DDR. That's no excuse to not at least try and make them fun and appealing.

Tohoku EVOLVED's S- stepchart is a perfect example of how a boss song should be, IMO.

AFRONOVA PRIMEVAL S- Spins at 200 BPM? I'll take my doublestepping at up tempo in HVAM and that's to go please

A Geisha's Dream (Ruffage Remix) on DDR '10 is a goddamn trainwreck.

Seule is another shitasterpiece. Not only is its rating hilariously high, the step placements make little to no sense.

I'm also not fond of DeltaMax , its difficulty is too unbalanced. The hard stuff comes in the beginning and the ending is much easier. The I like, though.

Haunted Rhapsody & Take a Step Forward S-. The former had a great chart, but where did go wrong? If it were an 11 instead of a faux 14, it would of automatically made Haunted Rhapsody better. Take a Step (Backwards, lol) S- has virtually no 16ths at all, IIRC. had the fun 16th part, while was nothing but boring 8th streams and 4th jumps.

AFRONOVA Difficult (It resembles its Basic chart too much.)
1, 2 Step Beginner (Really? 19 right arrows?)
DREAM A DREAM Heavy (I would like it better if the steps followed Franky Gee's vocals.)
LET THEM MOVE Basic (That chart is not a 3. It's more of a 1.)

A Geisha's Dream (Ruffage Remix) (DDR 2010 version).

The step placement makes no sense at all.

I'm thinking about making a video of me playing that chart on 0.5x rate with absolutely no doublesteps, then speeding the video back up to normal speed just so I can see what it might have looked like. I am almost positive that I'll need a mirror on the opposite wall because half the time I'll be facing away from the screen.

Celebrate Night Really cool song but the steps are alot of foot switching and outright double steps.

Long Train Runnin' (Bus Stop) The 16th clusters really ruin this song and I can never seem to remember what foot to lead on them

Trip Machine Pheonix & - Really cool song but both charts don't really follow the music but insist on following really bland gimmicks. Bonus points to not really being harder, just an alternative to the bland ideas in

Dance Celebration - I don't knwo what it is about this chart but I really abore this one.

SABER WING (AKIRA ISHIHARA Headshot mix) - One of the few post-Super Nova boss songs I will absolutely call BULLSHIT on. The ending is just a REALLY long death run to really nothing and has way to many spins speed up to double bpm. The speed up death run I thought was pretty cool in MAX. but I hate that it has become a normal feature of boss songs these days.

Poseidon - Mediocre chart with the nonsensical speed up with the middle

Votum Stellarum - Chart is all over the place and those 16th jacks feel REALLY out of place for a 12

Flow (true Style) - Why did Konami believe they needed to rerelease Flow with a pointless speed up

Tears & L'amour et la liberté (DDR Ver.) - Chaos charts which don't really follow anything consistently which makes these charts a big mess

Sakura - Y'know its been nearly a decade but I'm still disappointed with . Not only was it rated a 10 (maybe a 9 at best) but that middle skip and triplet section never made any sense to me, and the worst thing is that they put it in the middle of a gradually slowing down section. I swear those slow downs are off sync as well.

I'm surprised no one mentioned What Will Come of Me , I don't know what the long 16th clusters are supposed to follow, plus the placement of arrows will lead you into misery if you try to step interchangeably.

R, D, L, U, R

If you start that pattern on your left foot and rotate counter-clockwise while doing it, it isn't bad at all. If you start on your right foot, on the other hand...
