How about adding a like button to the forums
While I like to see that people agree with a certain post it gets kind of aggravating when others are waiting on certain updates
EXAMPLE: the DDR X3 thread
it's rather full of posts like "I agree with this post" and small stuff like that
instead of cluttering an important thread like that with those kind of posts, people can just press the Like button on...say...
the bottom right-hand corner of the post & that can be like saying "I agree with you" without actually cluttering the thread with that
What do you guys think?

Maybe, it won't stop those posts outright though.

it is a small step though
I would suggest a character minimum of at LEAST 100 but that might anger some people though
I'm just tired of seeing what looks like an update when all it is is a "Quoted for truth" post

Maybe a "dislike" feature would work.
People would have to write a reason as to why.

Well, vBulletin has a "Thank the user for this post button" which may be similar to a like button.
A dislike button may be good, but it could be a firestarter.
