I got a AA on a song, entered my scores here, and the score tracker says it's only an A.

System: DDR Extreme (arcade)
Song: I DO I DO I DO
Difficulty: Standard
Perfect: 172
Great: 19
Good: 2
Boo: 0
Miss: 0
OK: 9
Letter grade: AA (according to the machine)
Letter grad: A (according to the score tracker here)

My understanding of the scoring system...
http://www.gamefaqs.com/arcade/583193-dance-dance-revolution-extreme/faqs/37148

According to him (TCCMagnus),

Quote
The DP System works like this:

Perfect = 2 DP
Great = 1 DP
Good = 0 DP
Boo (Almost on home versions) = -4 DP
Miss (Boo on home versions) = -8 DP
OK = 6 DP
NG = 0 DP

This is how your grade is determined.

AAA = 100% DP (in other words, all Perfects and all OKs)
AA = 93% DP
A = 80% DP
B = 65% DP
C = 45% DP
D = Anything Else (negative percentages have been recorded)
E = Failed the song at any point.

Accordingly, I DO I DO I DO on Standard has
172+19+2 = 193 arrows; and
9 freeze arrows.
For a total of 193*2 + 9*6 = 440 Dance Points (DP).

I got 172*2 + 19*1 + 2*0 + 9*6 = 417 DP.
That is, 417/440 = 94.8%, for a AA.

Great!!

Here's my proof:
http://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/viewpicture.php?pictureid=22767

But it looks like the score tracker counts DPs differently.
According to the score tracker, I DO I DO I DO on Standard has a total of 404 DP, which looks suspiciously like
(number of perfects)*2 + (number of greats)*1 + (number of OKs)*2.

According to the score tracker, I earned 381 DP, which confirms my suspicion:
(172)*2 + (19)*1 + (9)*2 = 381.

So, what's going on? Maybe I'm entering my scores for the wrong game or something?

Still, even if the score tracker is miscounting my DPs, 381/404 is 94.31% of the total for this song, which is above the 93% threshold required for a AA. So where is my AA? What did I do to deserve this?!

Score tracker uses SuperNOVA grading across the board not EXTREME grading.

Ah, OK. Thanks. Is there any way to change that?

No there isn't, this is so rankings and grade display is consistent throughout the board.

SN1 grading? Shouldn't it be SN2 grading, which has been used for the past four mixes? This would serve to distinguish various levels of PFCs.

SN2 has different grading systems depending on the chart difficulty chosen and it's not easy to add.

Various levels of PFCs are already distinguished via the marvellous count in the rankings.

95% is the new mark. You're so close! All you'd have to do is O.K. the rest of those freezes, actually.

You can't judge DDR EXTREME by it's score level or grades really. There is no set score for you to get a certain grade at (as in 9,500,000 for a AA) so it is impossible for the score tracker to tell you what grade you received 100% of the time. DDR EXTREME is between 90%~99% Perfects for a AA while SuperNOVA2 and newer is about 95% both while playing on Expert difficulty.
