"Gimme a mothaf----n' break!" |
I figured with the current releases of FLASH CUBE, THE INVISIBLE FORCE, and THE INVISIBLE FORCE REMIXES, we could have a thread to discuss and give information about the FLASH CUBE label...simply because this label is so far proving to be awesome.
Speaking of giving information regarding the FLASH CUBE label, I came across this: http://flash-cube.net/BOES/
I don't know if this was already known to some, but I figured I would share it anyway, because this seems to be a promising album.
And I wasn't sure if I would ever be saying this anytime soon......but welcome back Reo Nagumo! I've missed you!

Quite amazing that the members of this group are nouvo nude, SLAKE, Hiroshi Watanabe(has yet to make an album for this whenever necessary lol) which are the the early beatmania 5 key artists.
kors k, Ryu*, PINK PONG, Remo-con also seems enjoying making remixes for this label. I also agree that it's nice to see dj nagureo become a part of this.

Yes, it would be great to see another Hiroshi Watanabe album under this label. He has had other albums under a couple of his aliases, though (QUADRA and kaito are two that I know of), but if he went the route that nouvo nude did and made 2012 remasters of songs like Deep clear eyes, Acid Bomb, into the world, Salamander Beat Crush mix, etc., I'd be completely fine with that.
Hell, it would be nice to see a 5-Key revival called beatmania RETURNS: FLASH CUBE! (no not really, just stupid wishful thinking)
I would also like very much to see DJ Mass MAD Izm* sneak his way onto this label to do some remixes.

Anyways, yes, FLASH CUBE is becoming a really interesting label for those who have followed the BEMANI series for a long time

Now that PINK PONG is doing a mega-mix of BOES, maybe we will get a full album done by him next?

Oops....I totally missed that thread before.
Speaking of those mega-mixes, has anyone been able to hear any of them yet? I'm really curious how the 60 min. mega-mix done by SLAKE was.

They're ok, mixed well, but necessarily very boring because the tracks all sound similar. The FLASH CUBE SLAKEmix uses most of the SLAKE remixes, and nouvo nude has a similar style, so it all just blends together as a kind of boring continuous mix. The King of Super Highway Mix is both hilarious and awful because, again, it's ~50 minutes of Super Highway.
