I just got a free Euromix2 dance machine but im having problem booting it.
At the startup the machine runs some test and stops with the following error message:
ERROR 189
You are using unknown cabinet.
Check all connectors.
Please see details in the operator's manual.
Before this blue message shows i can see a glimt of another error
PCCARD2 BAD
BUT i dont have the manual and i cant find anything about it in the big google world.
I opened the machine and it is an original rom 700B01 and then i found a screw from the cd-drive that had been shaking loose and this may have damaged the motherboard but I could not see any burn mark so im just hoping no damage has been done.
If i insert the pcmcia card in the other slot this message shows:
ERROR 146
Turn off the power and check if the Flash Card is inserted properly.
Please turn the power on after checking
DEVICE=PCCARD2
Im just writing down all the facts i know in hope for someone is an expert on these machines.
I want to dance so bad !!

aslo, where can I find iso of other mixes? I have looked everywhere for 20hours++ in hope that my DDR install is just corrupted or something. PM me with download info please. Im missing the install cd so i need to get a patched version

1. Download the hacked DDR install disc from (a Bemani website - Ed)
2. Copy GAME.DAT and CARD.DAT from the EM2 disc
3. Put the above 2 files on the install disc ISO and burn to a CD-R at 4x speed
4. Remove the blue dongle (very important)
5. Power on the cabinet and insert the burnt install disc
6. Reboot the cabinet and let the installer rewrite all the data files (will come up with a blue box with some text when it's done)
7. Put the EM2 disc back in, switch the cab off and reinsert the blue dongle
8. Game should boot, however you need to poke the Test button behind the coindoor if it comes up with a message about RTC RAM being cleared
(tl;dr put the two DAT files onto an install disc and reinstall EM2 from that disc with the blue dongle removed)
If the game still throws the same PCCARD2 error it means your flash card is dead (or the 573 is fried)

ERROR 189 sounds like it can't tell what machine you are running (SOLO, Doubles) which usually means something isn't plugged in right/properly or something isn't getting power. A hacked disc will bypass this check typically.
The Flash card MUST be inserted into slot 2. If you are getting a PCCARD2 BAD error it means your flash card is dead or the slot is dirty/damaged (its unfortunately the card usually).
As Mercury posted, try running a hacked version of the game and see how far it boots.
