Is it just that it is in Beta, because I cant get the bpm to move up by .001 like I used to, and they removed cut, and they also removed delete for an entire section.
Also, It would be really helpfull if they put something in where you could just type in the bpm, instead of having to sit there for 2 minutes waiting for it to go from 100 to 400.

You can type in the BPM (F4), and all the other commands are still there. Press F1 in the editor for a list.

Cut and copy are now in the Alter menu (press A).

"type bpm" (Edit bpm change) is still in the ESC menu :/, just go to Edit Timing Data

Stepmania 5 is amazing once you figure out that a) it needs to be installed in Documents to work and b) It's so much easier to use if you take 5 seconds to figure out how to use it.

I know Windows 7 has all those permission issues that one can get rid of, but what else does that solve...?
I was hoping we were complaining about the edit crashes and oddities 'cause I don't wanna make a whole new topic about how weird edit mode is and how stops/BPMs/nothing seems to be automatically copied to a new stepfile when you go to "create new" under, say, easy when you already have a fully stepped hard chart. Unless that's already its own topic... *just now searches*

Ohh. Neat.That doesn't explain stuff like this, though, which is happening to me. Then again, I've only made one song in Stepmania 5...

A lot of the changes StepMania 5 makes to Edit Mode were a long time coming, and very welcome.

Sorry, I should have clarified. You need to install it in documents to get edits to save properly.
