Well, we in the Z-I-v community know who the true record holder is, this is just old news.

We just need to wait for Guiness to finish reviewing Daiz's attempt.

... oh, this was back in October.
lolz at the fact that 16 hours doesn't even seem long compared to Daiz's record.
I am incredibly confused by that... machine. There's a flat mat on that on a surface with a bar and... a Wii game on a flat television screen in what's supposed to look like an arcade...?

The Gawker layout is very confusing (I mostly just read LifeHacker articles). Where was your comment, Max.
Also, I like how some of the comments are for Rock Band 2. pad-stomping != guitar-strumming != drum-hitting.

That's the most confusing setup i have seen this far.
Does this mean that the 40 hour attempt is not an official record?

The record was recognized on October, Daiz did his attempt in November, surely if this isn't rigged they would have his record known in a few months since the process for getting into a Guinness World Record book/frame takes longer if you don't have an official there with you to witness the event, if you did they would grant you the record on the spot, but if there is none you would have to have followed the guidelines, submit it to Guinness, have them review it which takes from a few weeks to about 2 or 3 months depending on the type of record being set/broken, and if all things check out, you get a NEW RECORD!!!!

I thought Diaz didn't go through Guinness because it was to expensive?

cali_surfer: I didn't get a judge to be there in person because of expense, but you can still set a record without a judge. You just have to have a lot of evidence provided.
Indeed. Guinness received my evidence package just as his was being finished for review. However, if you go by what Carrie Swidecki says, she's still claiming to be the record holder and "officially", without Guinness adjudication, set a "new" record of 16 hours, 9 minutes and 0 seconds. Apparently she's not aware of how world records work with the whole "requiring evidence" part.
Oh and she's made her Twitter private and has blocked me.

"TAKING IT TO THE PIE" |
Indeed, she's seems incredibly vain. She constantly claims that she's bringing awareness in a fun way yet hasn't done anything outside of that Konami sponsorship, no other events, just more "accomplishments" to raise her ego. Chris McGivern at least raised some supplies for his school, I raised $1000 for Second Harvest Food Bank. She tries so hard to make her story seem magical or one of a kind, but really, it's not all that grand. She seriously needs to just succumb to the truth that she no longer holds the record, that Alex kid does (for now), but something tells me she won't ever give it up.

So in short, she's got an ego the size of a blimp (maybe bigger?) and won't accept that there are people out there in the world that can easily surpass her "record".

And this is the deal: She doesn't officially hold the record anymore. That Alex kid does. Rather than face and own up to it, she's running from the truth, blocking me and everyone else that's trying to point out the truth to her. This is my bigger beef at the moment.

I'm seriously contemplating traveling to SoCal next year for a road trip and stop in to Bakersfield just to say "hi" and maybe a "u mad bro?!"
