Remember when you decided to make random new simfiles in a pack called Abstract Steps? You eventually removed the category and scattered the songs throughout the skyMixes. You also seemed to have done it with the Disney Girl and Japanese mixes. What I'm asking is if a similar situation is occurring with the Chewi's Files songs, using them in this.

Well, personnally, I think it's better to have them from different sources to appeal to more people. Like have the same quantity from every game maybe? Or maybe not same quantity because some series are still small yet...

See, that's where I am having trouble... it seems like my list of transplants have mostly IIDX songs, and I want to include more from other BEMANI titles.

Look to Pop'n (for exclusives that haven't been to IIDX or DDR) and even go back to older Bemani games such as Keyboardmania, Beatmania I & III. There is a Gymnopedie song in KBM that sounds pretty good. I know there are (now) two more versions of Gymnopedie but I've never seen anyone mention this one and I think it's worth looking at.
Also look at DanceEvolution/Masters, Walk It Out, and other technical BEMANI games. Maybe even do an extra stage system based on the different Gymnopedies or something.

Older IIDX and original beatmania, DanceManiaX, Keyboardmania, older pop'n music, etc. does it well for me.
Transplants from all different directions are good, but if you focus on a single series that's good as well if you're working with good music.
