Cleaning a DDR Arcade pads?

Is it possible to clean the DDR pads without opening it? I mean, I just want to clean the outside, because it always gets dirtier, making it uncomfortable to play (especially barefoot; yeah I do play barefoot sometimes). So, what should I use? Do I have to use any cleaning spray or something?

Anyway, I'm sorry If this has been posted before, I've seen this somewhere but I forgot where it was. And yeah, I've used search here, so I'm creating this thread....

-Clean with lightly sprayed Windex, Fantastik, or whatever is a decent name-brand Window/Glass/multi-surface cleaner where you live (or spray the cleaner on a rag)

Any kind of degreaser will do the job, with a proper paper towel to wipe away all the dirt and crap that leaves the pad feeling all slippery and yucky. Nothing hurts more my scores than playing on slippery pads .

The reason you want a good cleaner like Windex, and not Wal-Mart's Val-U brand, is ammonia. It dries quickly and gives the surface good, even traction (dat streak-free shine). Otherwise you're just making the stage wet.
