DanceDanceRevolution PULSAR (Final Tracklist revealed)

This originally was intended to be a summer release last year. Then, I realized that there were a lot of problems. This game has been almost completely revamped, and is coming soon!

25 tracks are in the game. One criticism of my old songlist direction was that there was too much old content with some questionable choices. Now the tracklist actually aims for the modern hits, with some classics peppered in. We have Kelly Clarkson, Carly Rae Jepsen, Selena Gomez, Three Days Grace, Ellie Goulding, and way more recognizable hits that casual players can connect to. We also have a nice K-Pop representation, with 2NE1, Psy, and BigBang, along with Latin pop, from Juanes, Chayanne, and David Bisbal. Of course, there is still a focus on the experienced players with the stepmaking, with plenty of charts from level 11-14, proving that licenses can be fun! Also, every song has a music video save for 2 (Boys and Girls and Yellow).

I don't know, the songs seems too screamcore for the game, and the mathcore sounds like a headache to step even through the preview. The Smiley Looks Like Me.

The confirmed FINAL license setlist is now up! Post your opinions!

I think Paradise is a little too slow to be considered DDR-worthy, but that's just my opinion.

Also, Girlfriend / Avril Lavigne is now cut from the setlist. It was gimmicky with its BPM changes and stops, and the video quality was horrendous. If I do a PIU pack, you might see it there, though!

UPDATE: Cradle of Love / Billy Idol is now cut from the setlist. This song (and video) were much more sexual than the rest of the game, though (again) the song may appear in a PIU pack.

In its place, luckily, are 5 new songs!

Note that Mony Mony and Make a New Dance Up will be shared with the Trotmania. The former will have an exclusive video made for (and only available) that game, and the latter was made by Hey Ocean, a group whose frontwoman is the voice actor for Rainbow Dash and Applejack.

Well, Billie Jean / Michael Jackson is now cut. The file was kind of junky and the video had a messed up cut. In its place is now Helena Beat / Foster the People, originally intended for the next mix.

The first quarter of the setlist is finished! Half of that setlist will be released very soon as a demo, however it will be once testing is done.

Demo is out! Please leave feedback.

SECOND EXTREME UPDATE

This game has gotten a hard reboot. Please leave feedback about the new setlist.

How will unlocks work?

Well, if I manage to make some sort of theme+pack package, I'll have unlock conditions for the 5 songs. If it works, this is what the conditions will be:

Love You Like a Love Song - Play "Naturally"
Pain - Play 20 Songs
Yellow - Play 10 Songs
Can't Nobody - Play "I Am the Best"
Right Now - "Gangnam Style"

The reason the conditions are pretty easy are so that they're just enough for people to get through the pack. I don't want people getting tired of the 20 songs they get at the beginning too quickly.

(inb4 Right Now is the first unlock for everybody)

From what I recall, 3.9+ greatly expands the unlock system so you may want to consider using that.

Right, all those conditions would work under SM3.9+ standards. My problem is I've designed these simfiles with SM5 in mind. Has anyone ever gotten unlocks to work in that system?
