There's a SuperNOVA 2 theme out there, which I didn't even know existed until earlier this year. While functional (the same could not be said of that 4thMIX theme I worked on), it was missing some features and had some inaccuracies, so I set to work on improving it.
This is only a patch. To work: First download the original theme from http://stepmaniafactory.com/index_descargas.html and install it. Then download the patch here and install that.
Beta 1 (2010-December-11)
Changes:
+ Display artist in-game (requires SMA fork version from http://stepmania.aldo.mx)
+ Battle, Nonstop, and Challenge now selectable (from title screen)
+ Modifier icons, taken from DDR X2 theme by sillybear
+ Instructions now do not always play
+ Misc. font and number fixes
To do:
- Fix character select screen
- Fix course stage transitions
- Select course screens take a long time to load for some reason.

Hey, I downloaded the SN2 theme from the link you posted and it said it was corrupt. I'll just leave this here:

Same. It'll make things easier as this progresses.
Also, this is just a suggestion, but if you're going to update the SN2 theme, I think it would go more smoothly if we ask Takuya if we can base it off of his DDR X theme.
I'm just saying that because it is the most complete simulation of the newer DDR engine. The SN2 theme is based off of Takuya's SN theme and it is still in its beta stages.
That's just my suggestion though, I'll be willing to help out wherever necessary nonetheless
