Ok here's my problem i have a ddr 8th mix and every time i turn it on it asks to CLEAR RTC RAM so i hit the test button and all is good, but does anyone know what could be causeing this because it just started doing this a week ago.

These guys know their machines. Ask there.

I think it's something related to a battery in the rtc ram or something.

Battery died in the 573 if it wants to clear ram all the time.

Is there a way to replace it? If not its ok cause i have about three 573 boards. lol got keep spare parts when you own one of these babys.

Assuming you'll continue using that board: desolder the RTC chip (contains the batt) for another one.
It's pretty easy to find, it's the tall thick chip with a clock picture. Often has the text DALLAS SEMICONDUCTOR printed on top.

Notwithstanding what Mercury said...
If you have spares, just swap the GX700 main board over with one of your spares with a good RTC battery, it's a 10 minute job (open the case, remove the Digital I/O board, swap motherboards, replace the Digital I/O board, close case).
The motherboards are entirely interchangeable (just make sure the black 700A01 boot ROM is plugged into the board - it is the only socketed ROM on the board - just in case your spares have this missing/replaced with a bootleg EPROM).
