Stepmania Color Code

Hi, does anyone know if you can color code stepmania songs in the same category?
For example, say if I had a Supernova 2 category and I wanted to split up the songs into color-coded groups like they do in the games.

I actually just found out now how to do that (thanks to one of Chewy's simfiles)

In a simfile of a song, you add this line in the simfile:
#MENUCOLOR:#
After the number, you enter in the hex code for the desired colour.

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you can use '#TITLETRANSLIT:' to order the songs the way you want to (by going like A, B... AA, AB... BA, BB, and so on) then enter the real title of the song under '#TITLE:'
If I can recall, Stepmania uses the translated title (when it is there) as the reference for ABC sort.

Alright, I tried pasting that line into the SM file but I turned on stepmania on both themes for no results.
Ideas?

The code may be a 3.9+ Redux thing only. Which version of 3.9 are you using?

My preferred syntax for song order:

syntax: #TITLETRANSLIT:[order characters] [song's real title]

where order characters (displays in the following song type order) are:

for licensed music: 2 digit number (e.g. 00,01,02,03 etc.)
for new KO: (nothing, no modification)
for CS imports: zv
for BEMANI imports: zw
for BOSS Songs: zx
for EXTRA (RDA) Stage songs: zy
for ENCORE EXTRA Stage: zz

color codes:
for licensed music: #MENUCOLOR:#FFFF00; (yellow)
for new KO: #MENUCOLOR:#00FFFF; (light blue)
for CS imports: #MENUCOLOR:#00FF52; (light green)
for BEMANI imports: #MENUCOLOR:#cc00ff; (violet)
for BOSS songs: #MENUCOLOR:#RED; (semi-red)
for EXTRA Stage (RDA) songs: #MENUCOLOR:#ff66ff; (pink)
for ENCORE EXTRA Stage: #MENUCOLOR:#FF0000; (full red)

When I tried to open Stepmania Redux it told me "unknown course difficulty "beginner" in CourseDifficultiesToShow." What is that supposed to mean and how do I fix it?
Does anyone know?

The original one that comes with the game.
I want to delete Beginner difficulty from courses if thats the problem but I did a search on my computer in the stepMania files and found nothing.

Go to StepMania/Themes/Default folder, open metric.ini with notepad, look for [Common], and then update the code to this below:

CourseDifficultiesToShow=regular,difficult

Never Mind, I got sillybears X2 theme and its working fine except now it says:
Invalid Screen class name 'ScreenWarning'
Does anyone know how to fix that?

It is portable, and no need to patch to 3.9 main. With best preset settings, and uses ddr noteskins plus orig SM NOTE noteskin.

Mr.Music, did you use that modified SM3.9 + REDUX over the existing SM3.9? You don't need to, you can make that it's own folder and run it using Stepmania.EXE in the Program folder.
