You don't necessarily need to delete the whole thing.
Just upload the background in the right format (I use .png), and edit your post replacing the old link with the new one.

As of now, there is no edit or delete function in the picture galleries. So you would just have to upload the new one, and make a post on the old one, redirecting people to the new version.

yeah, don't worry about it. everyone that makes custom backgrounds probably has quite a few old versions of their backgrounds in there. it's not a problem, just upload the new one with "upated" in the title or something as well
