Where I live, (a suburb of Montreal) there are nothing but EXTREME cabs. There is one ITG2 which replaced an Extreme at an indoor mini golf place but that's about the only cab I can think of which is not EXTREME. Everywhere else has a Hyper Eurobeat demo blaring every two minutes -.-

I only go to like 3 arcades and they have SN, SN2 and X.

There's only one cab in my town which is Extreme. If you go to other towns than you will not find a machine other than Extreme unless you go 50 miles further.

There are no DDR cabs on my city anymore 
(just a Stepmania cab, 2 EZ2Dancers, and like 2 Pump It Ups).

The only cab in my town is Supernova (for the record, it was actually moved from another town to mine). Patched and free to play, fortunately. Every neighboring town is a DDR "dead zone". I know of a few Pump It Up cabs that are probably in there, however... in Chuck E. Cheese's!

Toronto has only EXTREME cabs anymore as far as I know. All SuperNOVAs I knew about are gone now, and the arcade with a 5thMIX closed.

We have no AC machines in this town. At all. Go figure.
In Regina, the Ruckers closed, so there's no ITG2 anymore, and I've only encountered 2 Extremes so far and one ITG 1. Yes, ITG 1.

We've got quite a few SuperNOVA machines in Ottawa, but there are more EXTREME machines definitely. Then the odd ITG2 machine. I only know two locations for ITG2.
I really wish our town had some newer mixes. Although I would still like some EXTREME cabinets around. That's a pretty good mix (which may explain why it is so common)
One machine used to be a 3rd Mix before it was upgraded (they didn't replace the plate on top). I wish I could of played on it. I also wish I could of played on a 5th Mix cabinet.

Typically Extreme and Supernova. An arcade nearby has Supernova, Extreme and X though, but it's around 30 min away from my house.
Have yet to see a SN2 or X machine in person...

Though I remember long before I was interested in DDR, my friends played on a DDR Kids machine. I guess that's a bit of a fortunate encounter. What I find funny is the picture of the cabinet on the wiki article is the one from my arcade. Too bad it's long gone now. Apparently we had a beatmania machine there too

Oddly enough, in my hometown, SN2 machines are the norm (four within twenty miles). There's an EXTREME and (supposedly) an SN1 in the area, too.
Around here, there seem to be more PIU cabs, specifically Fiesta, than anything else. Leave it to D&B, I guess

I think the only DDR X closest to me is in an "uncertain" location in Orlando. (I think it was at Wonderworks) Florida doesn't seem to have many of X at all.

You are correct my good sir, DDR X cab confirmed in WonderWorks Orlando 
Which, in my book, is the closest DDR X cab to my location...
...i know that there are two DDR X cabs in Miami, and that's all i know for THAT machine >_>

When I came to KL it was all EXTREME and one 4thMIX. Now all but one EXTREME has been upgraded to SuperNOVA, SuperNOVA 2 and X. There are now two DDR X machines so I guess that makes it the dominant one. Thankfully the 4thMIX is still there, wish it were a PLUS the pads are excellent. Other than that, a couple of Pump It Ups and a lot of EZ2DANCERs (Most of them UK Moves for some reason).
