Sorry i was installing extreme on my arcade and i kept getting this error but i think it was my 32mb flash card cause i put a different one in and error went away.

For the record (and from the 5thMIX Japanese DDR service manual):
ERROR: Error 153 インストールに失敗しました (#)
インストールで「BAD]が表示され、 続いて次のメセージが表示されて停止した。
CAUSE: PCBユニット、またはフラッシュロムが破?した。
SOLUTION: 直ちに主電源スイッチを切り、コンセントから電源プラグを抜いて最寄りの[コナミ サービスセンター]までご連絡ください.
Ignoring the solution (which says unplug the unit and send it to a Konami service centre), it essentially means the thing indicated by (#) on the error message has gone bad and needs replacing. You were lucky this was the PCCARD, the other times this message comes up is when one of the surface mount flash EPROMS (31M, 31L, etc.) goes.
EDIT: Just to point out for the future, it's always more helpful if you can provide either the full text on screen (or a screenshot) when asking about DDR errors, as it may contain more information than just the error number in some cases (like this one).

Thanks for the info but my screen said "error 153 installation failed" word for word nothing else. But i sure am glad it wasnt the onboard memory.ERROR: Error 153 インストールに失敗しました (#)
