And I've tested konamix and ddr usa ps1 and they do the same thing. Everything plays fine but the arrows drift out of sync really really fast. Usually within 5 seconds of when the arrows reach the part where you can hit them. Far as I know only DDR 5th mix ps1 works fine on hdtv's because of the higher fps vs 30fps for all the other ones. Unless the dreamcast versions run at 60fps which I assume they do.

Is there anyway at -all- to fix this on HDTV's? I know 3rd mix doesn't even have a timing adjust at all. And 4th mix ps1's timing adjust doesn't help. I tried that on each timing setting with no luck. I've asked this question before on other ddr fourms with no luck. I'm just hoping there's -some- way to do this. Maybe even using my official disks in ePSXe or something. And yes I have a old tv. I just would like to be able to play everything on one tv if I can. Thanks for any help you guys can give me on this too. I mainly want this just so I can play 3rd mix ps1 properly again.

I'm not sure that it's a TV problem. Where are you from ?

I played some 5th CS Jap with a friend on a Europeen PS1. The songs drifts too.
More long the song is, more drift you got at the end (the long version of B4U for exemple).

I would like to say that is a problem beetween 50 and 60hz. PAL/NTSC.
We played on a PAL console with a NTSC game.

That's why i asked in a first place "Where are you from ?".
But i should ask "Where are your console and games from ?" too.

"Give me a steady beat."
Your HDTV should have an option called "Game Mode" or something like that. Might be a button on the set or an option in the menu.

Saw something like that on my tv and it didn't help. I tested out a bunch of 3rd mix ps1 songs and I did find out something interesting. Seemed the lower the bpm of the song the better in sync it was. Get Up And Dance for example a slow song I could do fine on. Same for Jam Jam Reggae (AMD Swing Mix). But trying Dead End, Afronova and such and it's a lot worse. I noticed the arrows "jerk" at times like there trying to catch up too.

are you playing on a PS3? if so, thats your problem. i cant play konamix, USA, or disney on my PS3 because they drift. on a PS2, not a problem as long as i change the aspect to standard (dont stretch it to fit the full screen, have the black bars on the side and the picture as a perfect square in the middle). for some reason, my TV doesnt have a game mode, dont know why. but doing what i described fixed all my drifting on PS1 games and my late sync issues on PS2 games. the timing is good enough to get just greats on IIDX like i would on a CRT.

Well I didn't even stretch it at all. But my tv says it's 720x480 (480i). And it's a 42" Vizio 1080p 60hz tv I got a year ago. Maybe the 720x480 is the problem? And I'm using a fat japan ps2 for this as well.

It's probably just the fact that your video source is 480i and your HDTV has a crap upscaler that takes too long for games.
