Date: June 5th, 2010 12:00 pm (Tournament registration begins at store opening (10 am). Tournament registration closes at start of Tournament.)

Location: Time Out - Frontier Mall 1400 Dell Range Blvd. Cheyenne, WY 82009 (307) 634-6466

Directions: Navigate to Interstate 25 to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Travel to Wyoming Exit 12 (Central Ave./Airport) and head East on this street. Continue on Central Ave and until you reach Yellowstone Road (State Highway 219) Intersection and turn left heading North (this has a two left turn lane intersection, I recommend the right-side left turn lane). Turn right on Dell Range Blvd heading East. Turn Left on Powderhouse Road heading North. Turn right on Prairie Ave heading East. Turn next immediate right into Frontier Mall Parking Lot and find a parking spot near the North Entrance (Next to Frontier Stadium 9 Theater). Time Out will be located past the Theater and Subway as you enter the North Main Entrance on the right hand side.

Entry Fee: $5.00 USD Must present cash only. No check, credit card, debit card, or any other form of payment to the entry fee allowed.

Prizes: 1st place will receive a In The Groove 2 Poster, 100 Coin Tokens for use at Namco Time Out Cheyenne, WY, and a coupon good for 1000 tickets (a total approximate retail value of $50.00 USD). 2nd place will receive 40 Coin Tokens for use at Namco Time Out Cheyenne, WY (a total approximate retail value of $10.00 USD). 3rd place will receive 20 Coin Tokens for use at Namco Time Out Cheyenne, WY (a total approximate retail value of $5.00 USD). Coin tokens have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash or other prizes.

Tournament Structure: This is a Double-elimination tournament with qualifier round.
Qualifier Round: All players will play a single song determined by the staff through random selection, ranked at Hard Level 8. The performance of each player will be record to determine the initial pairing of all players throughout the event. Pairing is based on a high vs. low scoring. Meaning the first place scoring player from the qualifier will be paired against the last place player from the qualifier.

Double-elimination: Double-elimination is a tournament structure where a player must lose two matches in order to be eliminated from the tournament. The tournament continues until only one player remains in the entire tournament structure.

Match Play: Each match between 2 players, will consist of 3 songs, best of 3 wins. Players will flip coin to determine pad choice and choice of 1st or 2nd song. 3rd song is CHANCE (randomly) selected. All songs on hard difficulty only regardless of difficulty. All standard and unlocked songs found on In The Groove 2 arcade are eligible for play. Players may select the same song if already played before.

Scoring: The in game percentage score will be used to determine a winner for each song. A score of 100.00% percent assumes the player steps all steps with Fantastic rating, completes all Hold and Roll Arrows, and avoids all Mines, in the stepchart.

Other rules: USB flash drives not permitted during course of event. Game will be in event mode so scoring will not be recorded into machine high scores. Pad misses (a miss that occurs to to a malfunction with the dance platform) will be ruled by the judge if necessary. Any pad maintenance will take place during the course of the event as needed. Players are resposible for reporting to their matches on time. If their match is ready to start and a player is not present within one minute, then the player will automatically lose the first song in the match. If the player is late by three minutes, then the player loses the match. Players should remain in the arcade or the surrounding area. All arcade house rules apply to remain eligible for the event. Any unsportsmanlike conduct is not permitted and will be determined by the judge and can result in disqualification. Players consent to be photographed and recorded for the benefit of the Bandai Namco group without any compensation of any kind.

Player Eligibility: Anyone in good standing as a customer with Namco Time Out Cheyenne, WY is permitted to enter the tournament. (a.k.a. If you are not banned, you're in.) Namco employees Craig Simpson and Terry Doan are not eligible to enter this event (due to sponsorship and operation of the event). No more than 32 player may enter this event (due to time constraints).
