I need help with my banners, i dont think they look right, can anyone help me??

Basically what Max said. There are also a few others, but from my experience of browsing ZIv, silverdragon754, Lord Toon, and Chewphoria are usually the ones most active in making digital creations.
I remember asking Chewphoria what he used and I believed he said Photoshop CS3. I assume Lord Toon and silverdragon754 probably use the same (or some form of Photoshop).
If your not keen on getting CS3 some way, you can always give GIMP and GIMPshop a try. They are open source and free. The text on the banners in my signature were made in GIMPshop just to show an example.
Microsoft Picture IT '99 is also a good program too. The user interface is very easy to use and is perfect for someone new to creating more advanced banners. It is a tad limited though, but can produce better banners than MS Paint if used properly. Just to note, this program is a pain to run on Vista

Well first off, your url tags are a bit off 
It has to be in the format (url=yourlinkhere) textyouwantblue (url)
Of course, it would use square brackets instead [ ] but if I did that then you wouldn't see the format.
