Spotted this nifty-looking title in a gaming store yesterday while I was out and about... it looked kinda interesting, and apparently features the kickass BGMs of Street Fighter EX, even. o.O Anybody know more about the game, and if it's any fun? Song select looked like one similar to pop'n or IIDX, star ratings and everything - even though it clearly plays nothing like it.

It's fun for a while, but the song selection isn't that great. If you can pick up the game for less than 10 bucks, it's worth trying out if you're a fan of rhythm games. It's mostly elevator-tunes though, but there are a handful of good songs on there you might come to like after a while. But you honestly won't spend more than 5 hours with it unless you want to complete everything and unlock everything. It plays like Osu! you just trigger rings with your character once the inner circle of the ring matches up with the outer circle. You select a character, each has different abilities you can use in gameplay- like one can make circles bigger as you hold them, another one can grab a circle and slide across the screen with it, etc. Two player is a mess, it's just a mad scramble to light up rings. The goal is like beatmania, push the health meter past the clear marker and keep it above it to clear a song.

Fantastic music, but the game is really hard to get a grasp on. Includes the exclusive sequel to Rottel the Sun and Rottel the Mercury, Rotteen the Moon. Also has a really interesting Gabbah remix of the theme from Splatterhouse. Its a game any rhythm game lover should have, but it will make you very frustrated at times.
