A song winner is decided by directly comparing Perfects/Greats (Marvs and OKs count as Perfects). ANY MODE OR DIFFICULTY IS FAIR GAME, and you may use any combination of official DDR products/games (including arcade versions) to score, but StepMania scores are invalid. Challenge winner is the winner of most songs in each challenge, as of the first post on Tuesday, March 30, with totaled results breaking any ties between players. The winner of the Global challenge may then request a version of DDR to be featured in the next challenge.

It unlocks (in DDR MAX US) by playing 500 songs...or clearing the HARDCORE Oni course. It should be in YELLOW on the songwheel.

I'm really glad that were doing these challenges since it gives us the chance to go back an play the earlier mixes and since I was done with both global and American challenges I took the liberty to go through and improve my scores. I had quite a few Bs, Cs and Ds so I played those songs and updated to As, AAs and...



Oh yeah that right 1 trip ace.

Well, Chewie... first off, Good/Boo/Almost/Miss is kind of irrelavent, so you can leave that info out. And you should simply add OK's to your Perfects count (see Telperion's post, for instance). And... I suppose we could *rank* the scores, but without picture/video evidence, you wouldn't get the "choice of mix" if you won. ~.~

So you don't have a digi-cam, webcam, camera phone... or any way of taking digital pictures at all? (I'm a little tight on time, so I might just do "Global" this week.) You might look into doing something about that, one shouldn't be terribly hard to come by; maybe a friend has some extras, or something like that.


EDIT: Congrats, bm! Nothing quite like that sensation of "finally got it," huh? Just wait... one of these days you'll hit "the zone," and they'll just start rolling. BTW, I think DDR discussion has a "my first AAA" thread, too.

*EDIT: Wish I knew my work schedule when I posted this. Oh well, I may post results of the Japan Challenge later, relevant or not. There is a DDRMAX 2 machine around where I live, I've just been working a lot.


Don't sweat it. There'll be a new challenge every week for the forseeable future! So keep it handy. And the global challenges are always as crossover-friendly as possible (hence the title), so stick with it. (More inter-regional players might make this work better - or maybe doing one every other week, allowing for more participants... but I think it'll pick up soon.)
