Mods: Not sure if this should be here or in the marketplace (does anyone even read that forum?), please move this if you think it is better suited elsewhere. I figure this is more a service for people with DDR machines, since I won't be making money out of it, hence the choice of posting in the DDR forum.
Cross-posted from DDR:uk - http://www.ddruk.com/forum/post/403754/last/#lastpost
For about 9 months now, I've been planning to order some spare parts for my DDR machine from one of the Asian suppliers (I need a clear plexiglass marquee holder, and these cost £180 in the UK, go figure). The time has come for me to actually do it. I'm based in the UK, so it would be no hardship for me to order stuff for other people in the UK, too (sorry people overseas - you'd be better off ordering the parts yourself since shipping would negate any benefit from buying in bulk). We'd also benefit, since shipping gets cheaper based on the size of the whole consignment, and typically they give lower per-unit costs if we buy more than a certain amount of each part.
I shall be ordering from here:

...on the 22nd Feb, 2010. Here's the deal...
LMK as soon as possible if you want in (even if you just want a couple of sensors - this won't cost much to ship per unit when accompanied by other things - my estimate is approx £6.68 per sensor plus post/collect inside the UK, which won't be much) - come the 22nd Feb this is going to be done and dusted, and I won't be doing another order

Also: I'll be ordering some buttons and things from this place at the same time (as I need a replacement start button and bulb), once again if anyone wants anything let me know ASAP:

Edit at 22nd Feb 2010:
This is happening tomorrow - if anyone wants anything, please let me know TODAY (Feb 22nd 2010)

Edit at 26th Feb 2010:
This order has now been finalised and paid for - if anyone else wanted in, I'm afraid it's too late :{

Final edit at 29th March, 2010
A quick post to summarise this order.
Arcadespareparts were very helpful, and their customer service was good. Once the order was made, there was a wait of about a week since a part was not in stock, but once this was ready it took two days (!!) to arrive from Hong Kong, by FedEx.
The metal connecting tubes are very good quality (metal lined, so hopefully more durable than the Konami ones), and I highly recommend them.
The marquee holders are less good; it was slightly too large (by about 1mm) for my marquee, and the screwholes were in the wrong place for all but two of th holes (so I needed to drill the marquee, and cut the side to get it to fit). Perhaps this is because I have a Korean cab, but in any case be careful with that item.
No idea how the sensors are, since I didn't buy any personally.

I'm going to be ordering from this place in 2 weeks time (22nd Feb, 2010) - anything you want from here? It's all repro parts, but all the Asian parts sellers are, tbh.
Price is as listed on the site, and postage to the UK would be pro-rata according to weight (so if the total order is 20kgs and yours weighs 1kg, it'd be 1/20th of the total shipping cost (depending on total volume this tends to be between $10-15 per kg).
The other potential cost is VAT - if we get stung, this will be payable at 17.5% on top (including shipping), plus a flat fee of £13 (which would be split between everyone involved) :{ If we don't, we pay nothing.

They've a restricted choice, but it's easiest to order from and has a contact in Oz, not just China/Hong Kong.
I'd need a 25% deposit on the items (but not the postage, I'll take care of that until it arrives) before I order, with the rest paid when it reaches the country (plus UK postage unless you or someone else can collect).
