My friend and I wanna get either game, but can't decide which one is better, songlist-wise. What do you guys think about it?

Get Extreme 2...

...unless you like the X licenses and past SN2 songs, then go for X, but if not then just shoot for Extreme 2 Smile

I would say go for DDR Extreme 2, as it's more consistent when it comes to stepchart quality. It also has lots of older songs from the Extreme days, such as Paranoia Survivor/Survivor Max and Cartoon Heroes.

I say Extreme 2. Second-best songlist IMO (Just barely behind Extreme) and fun stepcharts to go with.

Extreme 2 Is definetly the better of the two songlist wise, but you can probably get both for under 40 dollars new Smile but if you go used, you could find both for 30 bucks or so

You can probably get both combined for $40 used...

But if you can only get one...I'd go with Extreme 2. Great songlist overall...

"BEEJAY REVEL A"
Personally I wasn't too fond of Extreme 2 because of its lack of mods like rainbow all those others skins, but other than that, I did love the songlist. It's filled with some really good songs. Though getting to unlock the full songlist took me a while. The Dance Master Mode can really get tricky and frustrating at times.
X was good too, but I really thought the songlist could of been better. A good chunk of the songlist was catching up to Japan's SN2. The songs are good, but it also lack songs from previous versions. I'm guessing Konami didn't want us having more songs than Japan. Also, if you get this, here's a few words of wisdom: Turn off the announcer. Get as much peace and quite you can.
It all really depends on preference as I noticed a big change in DDR when going from Extreme 2 to SuperNOVA, both song wise and graphic wise. I guess you could call it a new era of DDR.
So I leave you with this summary: Go for Extreme 2 if you want more of a classical standard DDR and go for X if you like the songs and interfaces of anything after SuperNOVA.
