We just got a NA SuperNOVA machine here (yeah, we're pretty late) and the boss songs (FAXX, ~eternal love~, D-vision and Chaos) are all extra stage only. Is there a way to unlock them for normal play?

I would say to just keep playing. But if i remember correctly if the machine was patched it fixed the lag and also unlocked all the songs.

You're best bet is to play these songs a lot on extra stage. Over time, these songs will appear on the top 1-20 courses in nonstop mode. Then you can play the songs out of extra stage with normal scrolling/modifiers.
and no, kp, the patch does not unlock anything. He obviously has the patch because he mentioned felm.

You either need to get the CD patch, or just play the Final Stage, get an A or higher on expert, and then there.

First off, the patch only unlocks Flow (True Style) and puts FELM on Difficult/All Music's Extra Stage.
Second, Extra Stage is accessed through a AA on Final Stage, not an A. C'mon Max, you should know better than that.

That's too bad... I wanted to play Chaos! No way anybody here is gonna AA extra FAXX anytime soon (the ppl who can do it don't like the song)

I think an A on extra stage will give you encore for SN1. confirm?
Also you can try playing Healing D Vision instead if you play your round on difficult. Its much easier. then you'll have encore

I just played SN1 today...
I got B on Healing D Vision Extra and still got CHAOS on OMES
Just pass the Boss (Red) songs on Extra Stage and you'll get CHAOS...
If you choose All Music in the beginning, you'll get FAXX
& FELM for Extra Stageand if you choose Easy or Medium you'll get Healing D Vision
for Extra Stage

If you pass HDV or FAXX on Extra Stage , you can play Chaos on Encore
And Extra Stage has meter gauge, not battery like SN2 or DDRX
The gauge doesn't increase.
You can pass ES with 5 or 6 Boos (Sometimes 7 or 8)
(You can have many goods because the gauge doesn't decrease)

No AA needed for OMES? That might really help! The only thing now is the machine is in a popular area, with lots of kids and randoms playing random songs, it'll be hard to keep Chaos in the most played list =P

...Damn you SN2 and X ES score ranking >_<So let me get this straight...
SN - AA or higher on any
song = ES; Pass the ES song = EES?SN2 - B (?) or higher on any
song = ES; Get AA or higher on ES = EES?X - same as above?
I hate it when they change the requirements to get the ES and EES, confuses me >_>

If I'm not mistaken, for SN2 and X the ES is based on score, giving you 1-4 lives depending on the final's score (and to have an ES with 4 lives you'd almost do AAA).
Btw, are there good bemanis in Chicago? I'm going there next month!
