Dance Dance Revolution S Hacking

I don't know if I am the only one interested in this, but I am sure it is quite possible to load custom songs onto DDR S for the iPhone. You'll obviously need a jailbroken phone to get into the file structure of the app to over write the old steps and mp3s, and I have successfully done this with DDR S Lite (version 1.0) before they encrypted the mp3s. But, it being the lite version, it holds one song and is forced into basic. The steps are in the normal .SSQ and the song files are in some sort of unplayable/encrypted mp3 and I was curious if anybody had any information on that.

I've had similar thoughts on the game, and I've tried ripping the BGM from the game, but as you said, something's up with the MP3s it uses. I haven't tried putting in my own basic MP3s to see if it would at least play it, although I imagine it wouldn't. They wouldn't make it that easy.

The encryption for the MP3's is actually very easy to crack however. The final release of DDR S does CRC checks on the data so anything other than DDR S Lite would not read custom MP3's anyway.

What would be easier? Hacking DDR S to play custom files or writing a version of StepMania for the iPhone/iPod touch?
