Number 3.
To be honest, I was kind of expecting DDR to be on the list, but never thought it would be #3.
Fleet footed players flamboyantly...flailing away on a DDR machine...try saying that 3 times fast.
Kind of sucks there's not much gameplay video other than UNIVERSE videos and freestyle videos.

Wow, number 3? Before even going in, I had thought that it would be ranked #6 or something.
I was going to watch that, but I found myself distracted by Dead Fantasy 5.

Top 10 in what sense? 10 most influential? 10 most profitable? 10 most unique?
By that, DDR should have been number 1 on all of those. Almost every arcade in America has a DDR machine or something like it. Regardless of how hokey it looks to most people those machine can make more money than the rest of the arcade combined. The only thing in the arcades in America that I could see passing it is Tekken or "Bubba Q. Jimbob's shoot defenseless animals 12".
Suck Satan's cock!

I will give them this, they didn't say DDR was Guitar Hero for your feet. And yeah, DDR, in my opinion, is what really has prevented a lot of arcades from dying. DDR brings with it a community where a group of kids meet up for an afternoon and stomp arrows for hours. If not for the community aspect though, DDR may have just been another niche game that faded away.

I will also give them this. They said DDR set the standard for countless other rhythm games out there. DDR is the first and the best. And I agree if the list was top ten influential DDR should've been number 1.
In other news, when ScrewAttack did their Top 5 and Worst 5 gaming peripherals. The DDR pad was either the third or the second best. And it beat the Guitar Hero controller.

Disney Quest bought 6 of them in one day.
Most theaters now own a GH cab.
This sucks Activision balls.

Meh, playing DDR in the arcade will always be the top arcade experience for me. No other game is quite as fun and always draws a crowd. Do you think Guitar Hero AC draws as big of a crowd as DDR AC?

GH always has a group of people that want to play or watch a friend play. Half-way through though, "I think I'll catch up with you later" or "I'll go get a drink" et cetera. DDR has that "I gotta watch that play".Post #14 · Posted at 2009-07-31 09:28:15pm 15.9 years ago

B: Showing up three quarters of an hour early for a movie with a pocketful of change gives you something to do.
C: Actually somewhat dancing to the last one helps a little. It's such a fun song!
O SNAP 1000 postage.

I attracted a crowd at Disney World playing PIU... on easy.
Anyway, I like how it recognizes DDR as a precursor of sorts to the whole rhythm game craze in America.
Also, how many people actually here believe GH AC is the number one game on the list?
