I was just thinking that it could be interesting to have a site chat room where we can talk without the use of MSN, Yahoo, or AIM...

...unless it IS the only option available and if it's REALLY unnecessary to have a chat room on the site.

Actually, a shoutbox might not be a bad idea. Any random chit-chat can go in there instead of clogging the forums.

Exactly!

Also (not sure if it is a plus) people who go to conventions/anywhere Konami is showing off their latest games, they can use the chat room (or shoutbox) to give quick updates and stuff.

You know, it's possible to run more than just a web browser. Web browser's are pretty much the worst thing to run chat programs on. They just weren't meant for anything interactive. That's why all the interactive stuff in web browsers works so poorly.

Just a reminder that we now have the ZiV Chat room up and running under the "Home" tab, so if you guys want to give it a go, just go to the "Home" tab and you will find the "Chat" button underneath "Bookmark Site".
