The DDR Edit Thread

Showcase your edits for official songs from DanceDanceRevolution. YouTube, Simfiles, or chart images are fine, but please note that you should only show edits for official DDR songs and their respective edited versions. Please no full versions, remixes, or whatever unless they were actually included in an official release.

I would appreciate some feedback on these edits, as i am just a beginner at re-editting some of the songs charts .

Hey piepie, what are you using for video capture?

The first two videos were from Stepmania using Fraps and the third is obviously just recording a TV with a plain old camera.

I've sorted them as licenses followed by the KOs and stuff. IT should be easy to figure out.

Damn...the only edit I've ever made was a butterfly (UPSWING MIX) edit in EX2. It was merely a modification of the S- steps incorporating freeze arrows in a butterfly spin pattern. If I had a better camera, I'd show it off.

Oy, uploading and making all these vidoes is tiring. I have a handful more to go. If the US ever gets edit abilities for DDR X, I won't have a shortness of charts to try for myself

...if your talking about the DDR CS to DDR AC edit functionality, then wait until this year's DDR titles come out, more than likely they will have that function on the games for this year (probably PS2/PS3 will have it).

Can't wait for that to come out, and for the upgrade kits to come out too. Just wish that they would include USB ports for the upgrade kits...

Actually, the future of edits is completely up in the air. Edits were supposed to be in Supernova 1. Betson says future X cabs will have SD card slots and it was advertised to have that. Also, they've never made a claim that the up and coming DDR titles will have any arcade interaction ability. Plus, Konami has stated the editing capability would be coming from PC software. So honestly, no one has any definite answers.

Btw, uploaded one more edit, no more til probably Sunday night.

All true, but i think it's weird that

1. The US DDR X cabs are equipped with USB slots.

2. the logo on the sides of the machine and pads have this year's DanceDanceRevolution logo on it, possibly hinting about a possible "connection" between the two (put it simply, edits).

But your right, no one has a definite answer except Konami...so were just going to have to wait .
