I was watching WWE Smackdown just now, and this girl Layla decided to dance for the crowd (I don't know...) and the song playing to her dance was Think Ya Better D, only in a different arrangement.

Actually, the 'lyrics' of think ya better D are rap samples, so you probably can find them on other songs.

The lyrics also appear in Fishing Frenzy from Mario Mix, and in Bass Armstrong's theme song for Dead or Alive 2, YES or YES.
...And YES or YES is still freaking awesome.

Yeah, probably. I know bunch of those songs share lyrics, and some have lyrics shared by some songs, but not all of them, so it's hard to remember exactly which songs are similar to which.
EDIT: Oh Goddammit, n00b.

I think I heard the lyrics in some Sabrina The Teenage Witch movie (the one where she goes to Rome/Italy) in a club/dance scene.

Yeah, those rap bits are library samples. Going way back, the Main Menu music for Cool Boarders 2 had it.

Motoi Sakuraba used them for Chaotic Dance in Star Ocean 3 as well. At least, I think it was Chaotic Dance, some kind of Dance at least.

Err, of course they all have the same lyrics, it's the same sample, they're just sometimes cut and re-arranged. It's a public domain rap sample, that's the point.

"Rhythm Is Rhythm" in Universe 2 features it, as well. Heck, I think it was first introduced in the early 80s, and it crops up every here and there.
It's called "Kick The Nation," I believe.
For a public domain sample, it's pretty freakin' hard to track down!

I remember hearing the samples on TV for ESPN's 2004 MLB All Star Game selection show, and then I nearly shit my pants thinking that it was think ya better D.

*lol*
That song's been around lots longer than DDR has. There's a reason why it tybD was arranged for the original's credits roll. ;) I think the stepchart was designed with the original's ruleset in mind, too.

Here's the segment that Shubox is talking about. Skip to 1:52 if you don't want to see the stuff before, but I think Layla's entrance music (at 0:46) right before the dancing bit is hawt.

I bet you everyone was cheering because they were thinking "Hey, why does that sound familiar? Is that 'think ya better D'"
Ironically, I just finished playing that song...
