Okay, many arcades do not use "money" as their form of payment. For the location database, think we could add support for other forms of payment (credits, tokens, points, etc?)

So, uh, what do you use to obtain those credits, tokens, or points? You use money. Therefore, perform the conversion from money to tokens or whatever at the most common conversion rate.
i.e. If you get 100 tokens for $20 and the machine costs 3 tokens for 3 songs, then it's effectively 60 cents ($0.60) for 3 songs.
If you get the tokens by means other than money (extorting tokens from younger children, etc), then you have a legitimate point.

Some places, like Dave & Buster's and some Six Flags arcades, use a points-based system, which makes it difficult for conversion to/from regular currency.
D&B's points system works in which you get a block of points for a certain amount of money, but you get a discount the more points you purchase.
I actually like this idea...

The Trafalga that I go to does the same thing, so I picked the conversion rate for $20 of tokens, as it's the most common conversion rate, which is what I said to do in my other post. If you really think it's necessary, put it in the description for the arcade.
Also, having all the rates in money makes it easier for people to compare arcades and say, "Oh, you pay twice what I do.", or "Oh, this arcade is cheaper, I'll go there instead." Your method would require people to perform two different conversions from tokens to money to do the comparison.
In general, it should be how much someone should expect to spend for a set of songs if they don't go there frequently, and thus might not want 2000 points, because they might use 100 and decide the don't like the place.

It's not quite that simple; As an example, at La Tête dans les Nuages (in Paris, France), 1 token is €2, but there are discounts for buying multiple tokens (I seem to recall that it's something like 5 for €8 and 10 for €15). Thus the mapping of money to tokens is not constant, and lies between €1.50-€2.00. So far I've not disagreed with you, but...
Now consider. If I go visit there in Paris, I'll only be buying a few tokens, but if someone was a regular (or if I go there with 3-4 friends, just as likely as me going alone as I visit Paris quite a lot), they'd be buying 'em in 10s. Thus there is no such thing as "most common conversion rate," and it is a rather meaningless metric.
Now, if the cost could have two values (in money) indicating the range of prices, that'd fulfill all these issues.

As a general rule, you could always put the most you can expect to pay when you add the machine, but explain how the token or credit system works in the Location Information box.

Where i usualy play, no token system, only 1euro = 1 credit.
An other place that i play has a token system like this :
- 1 euro : 1 token
- 10euro : 11 tokens
- 20 euro : 24 tokens
- 40 euro : 55 tokens ( i'm not sure for this one)
and during holidays, you can have more tokens O_o
They have 2 ddr extreme, it's a good spot, even those arcade have not really good pads and we can make the ddr cab crash/freeze :p
The better thing to do is to put lot of information, like i did there :
Quote: myself
- 1 euro : 1 token
- 10euro : 11 tokens
- 20 euro : 24 tokens
- 40 euro : 55 tokens ( i'm not sure for this one)
no ?- 10euro : 11 tokens
- 20 euro : 24 tokens
