Not from UK, but I recently found these songs on Youtube all from compilation albums called Clubland from Record Label company All Around The World and Univeral Music

They are all very danceable and It would fit in perfectly with DDR. People from UK should be more familiar with it than I am but I am really impressed by the tracks they have. Reminds me of a more modern DanceMania.

Just search it up on Youtube and take a look.

They sort of already do. A lot of the Clubland songs and CDs are produced by Bus Stop, who did some early DDR songs.

Since the Dancemania license ran out, they signed a license with www.happyhardcore.com, who take commissions or half-made songs from Konami, and find happy hardcore producers and singers in the UK, to help produce the songs, or provide the vocals.

Most of these artists are the same artists who appear on the "Clubland X-Treme Hardcore" and "Bonkers" albums, which are the sister-series of the Clubland albums. I haven't checked recently, but I'm pretty sure a lot of them are on Clubland as well, under various pseudonymns.

I think Konami will stick with the HH.com deal for a while, though. It's already provided them with 5 pretty awesome games, in terms of music.

Heh, didn't know that one.

I think you made an educated guess on this one. It's a pretty good one, so I'll go with it.

Wow is this wrong. Bonkers was never a sister series of the Clubland albums, and it never will be as they are owned by different labels (even though Bonkers switched hands for the most recent one. Don't get it, it's probably one of the worst Bonkers albums ever). NONE of the producers who have been commissioned from the hardcore scene have appeared on the mainstream Clubland series, and only one song by any of them (Darwin, to be specific) has appeared on a Clubland X-Treme Hardcore, and it was remixed terribly.

Probably.

Anyway, to get on topic: Konami shouldn't license from Clubland because it is a very polarizing series of albums. A lot people love it to death, while a lot of others (myself included) hate it equally to death.
コナミオリジナル曲で好きなのが一つもなかった(´Д`)

The original Bonkers wasn't, but it is now. I'm sure it'll only be a few months before we see AATW putting Cascada on a Bonkers album :{

You're right, though. The crossover between DDR and Clubland X-Treme Hardcore is nowhere near as large as I thought it was. I think most of the uncredited vocalists in the Hottest Party games will probably crop up a few times, but I can only think of Taya and Ant Johnson off the top of my head.

Clubland definately doesn't have the image that Konami would want DDR to be associated with.

They've also had a few Jason Nevin's remixes on a few DDR mixes. I know hes contributed to Clubland stuff.
