"TAKING IT TO THE PIE" |
This is an edit of the original thread so it better explains what I plan on doing.
Im going to create a stepmanile file step edit data to other-DDR format edit data (to be used on DDR arcade or the more recent DDR X) and vice versa. However, I need several things from people. A few test edits from DDR X that's ported to the USB and an actual visual representation of the chart. An edit for a basic song with every step combination would be great, such as Up, Down, Left, Right as quarter notes, then Up, Down, Left, Right as 8ths, then 12ths, 16ths etc, then the jumps, then using freezes and shock arrows.
I'm going to need continued collaboration with someone who can provide me with edit data because I lack a PS2 to get the edit data myself. Anyone up for it?

Ok, and do you have a video of these edits or a simfile version of these edits? I guess I should have specified that I need to see the charts in some form or fashion since I lack a PS2, much less DDR X JP.

Feel free to look through my simfile category. That's what my simfiles are for.

That's fine and all, but I need the actual .dat file like Yudaidhun posted. Im basically going to make a .sm to DDR/X ARC/CS step edit converter.

Actually, what would be amazing is if I could get someone to make an edit of a basic song, no pauses or bpm changes with a set of steps that pretty much goes through all the possible step combination in each measure. Such as Up, Right, Down, Left (all quarters) then Up+Down, Up+Left, Up+Right, etc, etc, then the samething as 8ths, 12ths, 16ths, freezes and shock arrows. Upload the resulting .dat file.

the dat files of DDRX are encrypted.
i cannot see anything like header
seems to be hard to decrypt it.
anyway, i would like to record my edit as soon as possible.
