I nearly forgot about this :O!
Today, April 28th, is Bemani musician Naoki Maeda's birthday. And how old is he turning today? Believe it or not, 48 years old! Wowza!
NAOKI is well-known for his huge contributions to Bemani games, mostly in the Dance Dance Revolution series. Whether its classic songs like B4U and Dynamite Rave or new songs like will and A Geisha's Dream, NAOKI's songs are quite well-known among DDR gamers and across Konami games.
NAOKI was the mastermind between the J-Pop group "BeForU", who were signed to the music label "avex" before being picked up by Gambit, and have now evolved into a super skanky group which only retains one original member. NAOKI is also part of the fan-favorite J-Pop group "TERRA" with Junko Karashima, which has released popular BEMANI songs such as DoLL and Flowers. He has worked with countless vocalists such as Paula Terry, frances maya, Alison Wade, Toni Leo, Aaron G., and Riyu Kosaka.
NAOKI himself has been having a pretty nice musical career for the past year. Along with doing collaborations with groups like SMiLE.dk and SHANADOO, he also wrote the opening theme song for the new anime "07-GHOST".
So here's to you, Naoki! May you continue to produce music for years to come.

NAOKI, you are one of the fathers of BEMANI and one of the most important people to the songs and games we all know and love today. You've done so much, I wish you the happiest of birthdays! NAOKI, you are the best!

Naoki has proved that he's still a good musician, composer and singer (resonance!!). He's actually one of my top 10 artists from all BEMANI (not the first to be honest, my fav is Sota).
I remember that the first time that I watched a Naoki image was in the ending credits of DDR EXTRA MIX (2001)... wow! now the years have passed and he still continues to making good songs for BEMANI games.
Oh! I was surprised when I watched 07-GHOST (TV) and listened to "Aka no kakera". I could easily feel Naoki in this tune, I'll wait for the single release date.
